assalaam alaikum,
when i was ten years younger being gay was all about lust and sex to me (like being straight was to my friends), but my feelings changed. sex is far less important than when i was nineteen. today being gay means my way of loving.
i'm not realy in love for the moment, i don't have a boyfriend these days and i do't miss it realy. incha'allah one day my prince will come. there are just so many issues that are more important to me these days than sex and relations.

Being from Belgium, isn't that implied anyway?

As Salaam Alaikum,
My opinion is homosexuality is wrong... We as Muslims must not practice our lust on poeple of the same sex as ourselves.... But I of course believe that you can still be Muslim.

You won't get an opinion "of the organisation" on the question - and if that was so and generally accepted i'd consider leaving it wink
My opinion even though the quran seems to condemn masculin homosexuality in the case of sodom, it all depends on interpretation. some, on the base of this verse condemn all homosexuality (gay and lesbian), others condemn sodomie in g??n?ral ...
i tend to agree with naxus above and anyway, only god judges

Peace Redwasp. I agree with naxus too. Try to think if you are doing the right thing for yourself.
Being muslim could be likened to a state of
'A yearning for positive actions or of 'doing the right thing', while taking into account ones own personal situations and natural inclinations.I think it can be subjective to a degree. The important thing is not to harm people.
Do what you genuinely feel is best and not harmful after considering all the facts and factors.
Take it easy, and look after yourself. Peace. -
Peace redwasp, AspeRin, all
While I do believe in a general principle of "attraction of opposits" when it comes to the azw?j (partners) that God created from us I won?t see this as being limited by biological sex.
This causes some problems with observable reality.I have elaborated a little bit on this in previous threads.
Understanding the story of Lut in the qur'?n poses some peculiarities that are not resolved when refering the story to a lesson on homosexuality.
Some problems are to be considered when taking the text of that story serious. my two main points (though not the sole ones, see the previous threads)- Lut accuses his whole people of approaching men in shahw?t. Note He does not accuse the men of approaching men in shahw?t and the women of approaching women in shahw?t. He accuses his whole people of approaching men in shahw?t and that is what caused their doom!
Including Lut?s own wife`s ! - While in this quranic report Lut warns his people from approaching men in shahw?t and signifies this as a cause for their doom, the qur'?n also warns us in 3/14 that women can also be shahw?t, for all of mankind.
Thus the qualifier of the problem seems to be shahw?t itself and not the sex.
Redwasp, naxus was very right. It does not matter too much what others think. Important is if you yourself can see a clarity in the way you lead your life. And if you yourself can analyse your self regarding if it is led by low desires or by true responsibilities.
Your whole person is judged in the sight of Allah, the whole consistency of your being. Work for a sane consistency and turn it into beneficial actions.
And with time you will realize on your own where you made misteks and where you acted right.bye,
Leyla

As salamu alaykum.
Respectfully. We have enough evidence in the Qur'an.
Time of Lut.
Gays and lezbians are sinners. I mean, that is simply not normal because they can't produce offspring and they have much bigger argument as evidence their sexual organs don't match. As salamu alaykum.

Peace alen
have you thought about all these people - more than you think - that are born in between - neither masculine nor feminine...
They too are part of Gods creation.
How can they find sexual partners that match ?

Respectfully.I honestly don't know, Elke. I mean, Allah knows best and i'm sure that only He will find them an exit out of their (difficult) situation.
A person needs to pray that Allah guieds him.May Allah reward you with Paradise, Elke. sun

THANK YOU ALEN
peace
As salamu alaykum.
Respectfully.Your welcome, Elke.
I mean, gays and lezbians are having difficulties with the society which won't accept them but we need to understand what made these people to chooze this path, the wrong path but still we need to talk to them and i'm sure that gays and lezbians became gays and lezbians because of some trauma in their life or something else that .... let's say "scared" them or portrayed the opposite sex in such unappealing way.
I think that people whose sex organs haven't fully developed are not to be blamed but they are a reminder. Once again, they are a reminder of what their parents were doing while mother was pregnant or months or maybe weeks prior to conception.
I think that if a mother smokes weed, cigarettes, drinks alcohol, lives a stresful life weeks or maybe months prior to conception, i think that the baby could suffer because of it.
That's why children who were born in the village are much more healthier then we who were born in the city. Our mothers breathe smog, eat unhealthy food and no wonder when they give birth to kids who have problems.
Nevertheless, we all have to ask Allah Most Merciful to guide us, to show us exit from our problems, because Allah is truly ALMIGHTY. Only He can do ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.
Stay cool, Elke. sun sun

So why are you gay? dont u think the impact of it being all about lust and sex in ur teenage years has impacted your mind to think you're gay? im just curious. u can have good relationships with both men and women it doesnt mean it has to be intimate...
what issues are important to you these days?
my opinion is that being gay isnt islamic. i mean the people of lut is a good example to prove this.. even science, 2 men cant have babies, 2 women cant have babies.. and if they were it wouldnt be natural and either way they'd need something from the opposite gender...
God knows best

salam alaykum wr wb
yes there is pairs around us everywhere ..one of the most important to me signs wasnt mentioned here yet not Lot's people but the creation of human being in of itself
what did God create?
Adam and Eve? or Adam and Adam? or Eve and Eve?
i beleive it was Adam and Eve? a Man and a woman
not a man and a man not a woman and a woman
this book is complete...detailed for everything you just have to see the signs in it inshaAllah
perhaps Lot's wife felt compassion in heart for others but perhaps the wrong people
you can have compassion for another person becasue they are gay and a human being and your humble and know that anyone could have become like that or maybe you relate to them or relate to being the down trotten or not accpeted person in society
but theres a difference in recognizing we are all part of humanity and recognizing we are required to enjoin good and forbid evil...
If Adam and Eve were created and everything in quran is a sign or lesson
and the poeple of Lot were destroyed I can not see any issue here about if its right or not for myself
i would never claim to make something forbidden that God has allowed or make something allowed God has forbidden
but it seems clear to me where the signs are and logic and reason can be used for me to show the answer
i dont see anywhere in the creation of human to the creation of animals etc and even down to the exisitence of the creation is dependant upon mating in a natural way (arent we forbidden from changing the creation)
but perhaps NAtural selection can be applied since they can not mate physically they always need soemthing from the opposite sex
maybe the natural selection process is at work loool only God knowsthis is also a sign i beleive
there is a big difference in being gay (attracted to men or women) than actually committing the act....of sex
just like the people who beleive in the Quran but for some psychological or personal reason they do not follow it all or are uncapable of following it all if they beleive in God the quran as revelation all the prophets the books of God the Heaven the HEll the judgement day the ressurection angels jinns etc why wouldnt gay peopel be considered not muslim its a beleif
now if they dont act on the laws of the quran just like someone who is muslim and non gay
that just means to me they will all will face their God for there actions
I never heard of being responsible for thoughts that arent acted out on
i could think about killing poeple but not act on it
or i could think of raping people but not act on it
i could think of having sex with the same sex but not act on it
i think the actions are what count.....
