The meaning of Islam
-
I don't think you are going to get what I"m saying. I honestly think you have a spirit of competition going on here. You also keep distorting what I"m saying. I don't think you fully read my post either.
The shadda does represent two letters. That is what I am saying. Otherwise hajja would not be able to split into all of its forms that have two jeems.
There's seriously NO language of the world that uses an equal amount of radicals for ALL verbs
Seconly I never said this. I said that Arabic bases its verbs off of 3 & 4 letter roots. And that goes for ALL of its verbes. But NONE of its verbs have roots based off of two letters unless you don't want to recognize that the emphasis on the last letter and the way it splits up represents TWO of the same letter.
I gave you a lesson Arabic script. It doesn't matter who hajj was originally written it only matters how it was pronounced and how it morphs into its different froms. Shadeed was originally writtten sadeed and nizaa' was originally written niraa'. The original Arabic script is deficient and no sound conclusion would be based on it.

...just like hajj was originally typed h(a)j. There's no way you can trace hajj back two three radicals.
J?' is another two-radicaled verb, btw. -
Peace el-aziz. Nice definition of islam being the opposite of disharmony. D

El-Aziz,

Let me put it to you like this. h(a)j(a) is pronounced with emphasis on the jeem (old Arabic deficient script did not have a way to write this). However If you take this word in its forms like its plura h(u)j(a)j or any other form of the word that jeem becomes two jeems and works magically as if that jeem represented two radicals like q(i)t and it's plural q(i)t(a)t.
Like I said if that jeem wasn't really two jeems (even though you can't see it in the script, because the script was crap)
. . . hajja would not be able to split into all of its forms that have two jeems

Peace be upon you Someone,
Indeed, the goal is to remain at peace at all times even when defending ourselves, not being revengeful nor agressors.
On the other hand, we should also keep acquiring knowledge (and by implication strength), in order to keep our means of defense up-to-date, be it physical or mental. The enemies of the god won't miss an occasion to have the upper hand.
The god the peace is also the all-mighty, the most powerful.
Yes, I agree. D

" Do they seek For other than the Religion of Allah ? - While all Creatures in the heavens and on earth Have, willing or Unwilling, Bowed to His Will ( accepted Islam ). And to Him shall they All be brought back . Qur'an 383 ( AYA ) .
"A fa ghaira Diinillahi Yabghuuna walahuu aslama man fis samaawati wal ardhi thau'aw wa karhaw wa ilaihi yurja'uun .
According to the above Verse of the Qur?n , all and sundry in this Universe is a Muslim. or is my Understanding of this Verse is wrong ???
If the above Verse means as I take it to mean , Then Why is the Term Muslim and Islam only applied to 'Adherents of Qur?n and/or Hadiths 'and not to other Religions ???
Finally, is there a Verse in the Qur?n where Allah or His Messengers addressed the People as "O Muslims "... ??? Please help enligten me and my folks about this Verse . My heartfelt Thanks and may God Bless you all . Peace

Peace brother,
" Do they seek For other than the Religion of Allah ? - While all Creatures in the heavens and on earth Have, willing or Unwilling, Bowed to His Will ( accepted Islam ). And to Him shall they All be brought back . Qur'an 383 ( AYA ) .

I think that the key words that you are perhaps missing in your understanding are "willing" or "unwilling". It is of course better to submit willingly. If one doesn't do it now, then one will go to hell and thus submit unwillingly.
If the above Verse means as I take it to mean , Then Why is the Term Muslim and Islam only applied to 'Adherents of Qur?n and/or Hadiths 'and not to other Religions ???
All religions (millat) are manmade. Even monotheism is manmade (it is thus called "millat Ibrahim" not "millat Allah". The religion of Ibrahim was simple. He submitted to his Lord and he advised his descendants with the same (2131-132). The word "islam" is not the hollow name of some Abassid era religion. It is an action that we are obligated to do. The word "din" means "obligation" not "religion".
Finally, is there a Verse in the Qur?n where Allah or His Messengers addressed the People as "O Muslims "... ??? Please help enligten me and my folks about this Verse . My heartfelt Thanks and may God Bless you all .
There is no such passage in the great reading.
Peace,
Ayman

Hey, I stand corrected. I found some 6 letter root words
Iqsha&arra To tremble in fear (alif, qaf, sheen, &ain, ra, ra)
itma'anna THis word is in the Quran and it is also a 5 letter root word. (alif, taw, meem, hamza(alif), noon, noon)
ih-ranjama To gather together (alif, haa, raa, noon, jeem, meem,)So there are 6 letter root words. I have a feeling that these are realy 5 letter root words, because the alif, in common with all these
seems to be an addition. If that is the case and there are 5 letter root words(which i think is really the truth) then I still stand corrected because I said there were no 5 letter roots.Godbless,

To All my brothers and sisters in the forum,
Islam Submission
Salam PeaceWhile agreeing with the above I noticed a practical connection in the use of the 2 words in the Quraan . The connection is beautiful. For the meaning of Islam , answers are in the Quran. If Allah did not name our religion/deen as Islam and also if Abraham with Allahs will did not name us as Muslims (227 we would have invented thousands of different names for our religion and nation . Allah has made things clear.
Our Purpose here is to SURRENDER/SUBMIT (to the will of Allah) and our Goal is to achieve PEACE. And peace is the ultimate reward (37110, 37121)
Peace is the goal in many stages in our life,
- Peaceful heart/mind in this life and when we meet our Lord and to acheive paths of peace
2689 and 3784 (biqalbin salim)
516 (subulas sala_mi)- To achieve peace at Death
1632
1915
1933- To go to Allah as a calm/peaceful soul
8927 nafsul mutmainah
- To receive Salam(peace) from the Angels at death and the hereafter
3973 sala_mun alaikum
1324- To acheive peace in the hearafter
1546 sala_min a_minin(a)
1952 il la_ sala_ma
3344-
To receive salam (peace) from Allah in this life like the prophets
( A greeting and an assurance from Allah)
37181 -
To receive salam (peace) from Allah and a Peaceful dwelling of the hearafter.
6127 ( da_rus sala_mi)
1025 da_ris sala_m(i)
3658The above is my basic observation and humble opinion of the Quraan (while not having knowledge in Arabic) and I maybe be wrong. These observations must be nothing new to many. Please correct me and add to my thinking if anyone has anything to offer from the Quraan.

Peace and weldcome to the forum
just a quick note
2689 and 3784 (biqalbin salim)
means "a heart that is not sick", the verse has nothing to do with peace, but thanks for yet another example of showing how flawed the root method is
cheers
-
Dear Ahmed
Peace
What is a "Heart that is not sick" ? Obviouslyyou did not mean it from the health/medical point of view.
How is the root method involved here . Does not the Quraan translate salim and its variations as peace in other places.Peace bro
Salim is commonly used as the opposite to something that is sick, broken or have a fault
for example
my car is Salimah i.e. my car is not broken down (the two letters ah at the end is because the car is feminine in arabic)
my heart is Salim means (my heart is not sick)
if I fall on the ground, someone may ask me "Inta Salim?", which means "if I'm hurt?" or "If I got an injury?"
if you drop a vase and it is broken then you say the vase is not Salimah "again the vase in arabic is feminine"
anything bro that does not have a fault, we described it as Salim or Salimah
even the food if we suspect that it is off and we discover that it is not, then the food is Salim
I hope this will clear it out
Cheers
