The meaning of Islam
-
Hey, I stand corrected. I found some 6 letter root words
Iqsha&arra To tremble in fear (alif, qaf, sheen, &ain, ra, ra)
itma'anna THis word is in the Quran and it is also a 5 letter root word. (alif, taw, meem, hamza(alif), noon, noon)
ih-ranjama To gather together (alif, haa, raa, noon, jeem, meem,)So there are 6 letter root words. I have a feeling that these are realy 5 letter root words, because the alif, in common with all these
seems to be an addition. If that is the case and there are 5 letter root words(which i think is really the truth) then I still stand corrected because I said there were no 5 letter roots.Godbless,
AnwarHere we go
Later i will show you an example of 6 letters root
cheers

To All my brothers and sisters in the forum,
Islam Submission
Salam PeaceWhile agreeing with the above I noticed a practical connection in the use of the 2 words in the Quraan . The connection is beautiful. For the meaning of Islam , answers are in the Quran. If Allah did not name our religion/deen as Islam and also if Abraham with Allahs will did not name us as Muslims (227 we would have invented thousands of different names for our religion and nation . Allah has made things clear.
Our Purpose here is to SURRENDER/SUBMIT (to the will of Allah) and our Goal is to achieve PEACE. And peace is the ultimate reward (37110, 37121)
Peace is the goal in many stages in our life,
- Peaceful heart/mind in this life and when we meet our Lord and to acheive paths of peace
2689 and 3784 (biqalbin salim)
516 (subulas sala_mi)- To achieve peace at Death
1632
1915
1933- To go to Allah as a calm/peaceful soul
8927 nafsul mutmainah
- To receive Salam(peace) from the Angels at death and the hereafter
3973 sala_mun alaikum
1324- To acheive peace in the hearafter
1546 sala_min a_minin(a)
1952 il la_ sala_ma
3344-
To receive salam (peace) from Allah in this life like the prophets
( A greeting and an assurance from Allah)
37181 -
To receive salam (peace) from Allah and a Peaceful dwelling of the hearafter.
6127 ( da_rus sala_mi)
1025 da_ris sala_m(i)
3658The above is my basic observation and humble opinion of the Quraan (while not having knowledge in Arabic) and I maybe be wrong. These observations must be nothing new to many. Please correct me and add to my thinking if anyone has anything to offer from the Quraan.

Peace and weldcome to the forum
just a quick note
2689 and 3784 (biqalbin salim)
means "a heart that is not sick", the verse has nothing to do with peace, but thanks for yet another example of showing how flawed the root method is
cheers

Dear Ahmed
Peace
What is a "Heart that is not sick" ? Obviouslyyou did not mean it from the health/medical point of view.
How is the root method involved here . Does not the Quraan translate salim and its variations as peace in other places.Peace bro
Salim is commonly used as the opposite to something that is sick, broken or have a fault
for example
my car is Salimah i.e. my car is not broken down (the two letters ah at the end is because the car is feminine in arabic)
my heart is Salim means (my heart is not sick)
if I fall on the ground, someone may ask me "Inta Salim?", which means "if I'm hurt?" or "If I got an injury?"
if you drop a vase and it is broken then you say the vase is not Salimah "again the vase in arabic is feminine"
anything bro that does not have a fault, we described it as Salim or Salimah
even the food if we suspect that it is off and we discover that it is not, then the food is Salim
I hope this will clear it out
Cheers
