    Salaams Br,

and yeah...i almost forgot....unlike peepz who call themselves quran-alone, they used to call themselves god-alone! dunno...but perhaps they believed that allowed them to call themselves followers of quran...but only as far as it was agreeable to them....whenever they did not find it agreeable, they would authorise themselves to supercede the quran or offer interpretations outta sync with the quran! at the end their stance would be that they follow what their conscience/intellect deems proper, and that quran being a human composition could offer some guidance, but the actual message of god is the universe itself and this, and not quran, is the source of guidance! in other words they were self-appointed prophetesses of god, who would not believe by the quran except that which they themselves could verify or were agreeable to! so being god-alone, they do not need to believe by the whole of quran, which they do not deem to be from god! -)

i meant this is the direction most people /peoples understanding takes them the more they study the quran - as a book of understanding or a book of explanations rather then a book to be imagined.

If anybody disgreed with that i think a lot of us can say bring your proofs to the contrary , rather then their puffs of wind.

    Gods Blessings.

i still dunn quite get what u are saying...)- ...but a study which leads to the conclusion that quran is a human work and not from god, is a study which leads to disbelief by the quran! and i dont think lots of people become disbelievers by quran by studying it, the disbelief is perhaps because they already hold evil in their heart, and when they come across the message, they are frightened of it, and either shun it or try to distort it to make it agreeable to their evils! so perhaps they dont really study the quran, but simply seek to find in it something to reassure their ailing hearts that it indeed is fallible! and since they seek from it nothing but misguidance, god allows them just that! (-

3923 God descended the information's/speech's best , a Book looking alike/resembling/ similar doubles of twos Koranic verses , (the) skins (of) those who fear their Lord tremble/shiver from it, then their skins and their hearts/minds soften to God's remembrance/reminder, that (is) God's guidance, He guides with it whom He wills/wants, and who God misguides so (there is) none from a guide for him.

so if somebody holds the quran fallible, the person would do well not to ask for proofs pretending to be believers by the quran, which is exactly what the galz i talked about did their "study" of the book was nothing but an attempt to prove it to be fallible, and try to distort its meaning to further their own beliefs! salaams! (-

        Salaams Br,

? Therefore, congratulate my servants who listen to all views, then follow the best. These are the ones guided by God; these are the intelligent ones.

...but a study which leads to the conclusion that quran is a human work

From the above quranic ayah ? I think a lot of mans works are by guidance of the almighty ? or do you deny that.

So you can?t say the quran is the only guidance from Him- or do you?

I think people who can?t ask for proofs are either too scared or have been programmed not to do so.

Look around The Trads, Hindu?s, Christoe?s??.the list goes on and on,

Will not question their beliefs so will remain what ever they are and this is the greatest weakness in men to carry on carrying heavy loads, be work horses for others instead of lightening them and becoming serious men of the God.

But each thinks they are the true believers?..as no doubt you do too.

We must question otherwise we may be heading the wrong way ? I think.

So you still think we can?t question things from the quran?

Like giving proofs of men changing into monkies and pigs - I can?t see a single quran in the world without this kind of fact but no one follower can prove it and Allah says tell them to prove things ? or doesn?t he Br?

        Gods Blessings.

where did u get "all views" from? could u paste the text so that v may compare what the text says and the translation provided! (-

god guides and god misleads, and the guidance or straying is a result of the intentions...those who seek to distort the word are led farther into error on account of their evil....is it so? (-

anything that contradicts the quran is falsehood...do u believe by that? or do u believe that quran is not from god and may itself contain falsehood? (-

so do u want proof that quran is from god? which proof do u ask for? some from the disbelievers of yore asked for angels as proof..failing which they refused to believe it to be the word of god....what would suffice as proof for u regards it being word of god?

are u suggesting that unless u start questioning the credibility of quran and finally conclude that it is not from god...u will not be a person of god (whatever that means)?

do u reckon urself to be a "true" believer? i would appreciate if u dont speak for me! (-

question what? whether quran is from god? or the interpretation of the text? there is a difference therein! (-

could u prove to me that god has said to prove all things? (- do u believe the quran from which u quoted 3917-18 is from god? (-

I think I have been talking about the interpretation of the text.

            God Bless.

oh ok....the text u quoted from me...i was basically talking about peepz who didnt believe quran is from god (but pretended to believe in quran), and u said that fits u...so i was kinda like not sure which part u were talking about! and then again u said this is the direction lots drift into after studying the quran...and i thought u were kinda agreeing with their "conclusion" that quran is a human work and not from god...sowwy again! but there is 1 understanding i dont remember having read anywhere before here that of djinns being reptiles! interestingly, there have been many legends around reptiles such as snakes and lizards! infact, according to the traditional view, djinns are believed to take the form of snakes! -S i believe this article is somewhere in the articles section, so u can check it out there! -)

okay...thats wat i had sed a while back...but the article's been revised to reflect a better understanding, so the above stuff i wrote about an article on this site, viewing djinns as reptiles, is no longer valid! -)
