WHAT IS QURAN ACCORDING TO QURAN?
-
peace om,
bivi=wife (singular)
beveyain=wives (plural)
shoher= husband (both singular and plural)
jorha=couple (singular)
jorhe=couples (plural)
saathi=partner (both singular and plura)absolutely right
To me "beveyain" is not equal to "spouses". In fact it would look wierd if we use "beveyain" for spouses in urdu.
beveyain = wives
but since spouse can also mean a wife too i used this word keeping only this meaning in mind...i think i have completely misunderstood you, my apology bro -[.Maudodi has translated "azwajun mutahharatun" in 225 to "pak beebyaan" in his urdu translation. I have seen printed copies. "pak beebyaan" means pure female companions, while "azwajun mutahharatun" means pure spouses.
in you above comment i thought your objection is that instead of pure female companions it should have been pure spouses i.e. wives.
Also the translation has used the word "beveyain" in feminine context "beveyain hoen gi". If the translator had meant spouses then he had used a mascular context "beveyain hoon gay". What do you think?
this has made it clear what you actually meant,
God bless you.

as you can see in verse 4251 it is said that "it is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak directly to him" so i dont know how to explain "the direct words of God".
Im not really puzzled by this at all. Ofcourse were told that something called a malakat is send with the message. However if you look at the example of Abraham, he realised himself the truth, and then he got strengthened in his faith and ways, and started preaching. Properbly wrote a book too, inspired by the reasoning handed to him. God speaking is not booming voices from the sky and angels with trumpets and white light. It is very subtle, but becomes glowing in neon when you notice it, and it is for everybody. The prophets didnt say, listen to this alone, they said, be me and you will witness youself what im trying to tell you. Ofcourse takes this to great lengths and dress up like alladin etc.
I like tay's argument that malakat is good intentions, because if we look at the legends for a second, were told that whatever the malakat that God sends is called Gabriel. In hebrew this means "God is my strength". Could it be that the malakat is indeed good intention, and not only that, it is God is my strength, or the holy spirit as a fellow believing community calls it.
If this the case, you yourself have to be open to it (prayer, meditation, purifying what you have by sharing in the community, good deeds to purify your mind). If you are driven by ego and ill intentions, how can any good intentions make their way to you? )
But i admit where im very clear on what the meaning of "Gods words" are, im unsure what angels are. The legends doesnt make sense, and the Quran is awfully quiet about their excact nature.

peace Magi,

young brother i agree with you )
I like tay's argument that malakat is good intentions,
good intentions with two two, four four wings , though i have not read tay's defination but it seems reasonable and there are lots of people who support this argument )
If you are driven by ego and ill intentions, how can any good intentions make their way to you?
yep )
peace.

peace Phoenix1,
Does the quran say anywhere that it is the direct word of God?
just a question. I am not starting an argument.-
And this is a blessed Reminder which We have revealed; will you then deny it?
-
When before it there was THE SCRIPTURE OF MOSES, an example and a mercy; and THIS IS A CONFIRMING SCRIPTURE IN THE ARABIC LANGUAGE, that it may warn those who do wrong and bring good tidings for the righteous.
3 2. Allah, (there is) no god but He, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all things subsist
3 3. He has revealed to you the Book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and He revealed the Tavrat and the Injeel aforetime, a guidance for the people, and He sent the Furqan.peace

Peace All
The 2 threads "What is Quraan according to Quraan? and "How did you reach your certitude about the Quraan? arediscussing almost similar issues (At least currently).
I thought the following verses will be important for this discussion Mainly because there were questions such as "Is it directly Gods words" and "Did you see Gods signature in it".
Although there is no signature there are witnesses just like the Quraan advises man
to have 2 witnesses for important documents and transactions.4 163 We have sent thee inspiration as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers
after him; We sent inspiration to Abraham Ismail Isaac Jacob and the Tribes to Jesus Job Jonah Aaron and Solomon and to David We gave the Psalms.4 164 Of some Apostles We have already told thee the story; of
others We have not; and to Moses Allah spoke direct.4 165 Apostles who gave good news as well as warning that mankind
after (the coming) of the Apostles should have no plea against Allah for Allah is Exalted in Power Wise4 166 But Allah beareth witness that what He hath sent unto
thee He hath sent from His (Own) Knowledge and the angels bear witness but enough is Allah for a Witness.Also
It is certain some people will not believe under whatever circumstances. Some of them want to see God or God has to speak to them directly or they want to know whether God spoke to the messenger directly or an angel to come as messenger instead of a man or a book to descend from the sky. Rest assured, none of this is going to happen. There are many verses which explain this fact clearly for a person who cares to read the Quraan thoroughly (not just a few verses) and many times. We must read and then reflect.
6 35 If their spurning is hard on thy mind yet if thou wert able to seek a
tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a Sign (what good?).
If it were Allah's will He could gather them together unto true guidance so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)!17 93 "Or thou have a house adorned with gold or thou mount a
ladder right into the skies. No we shall not even believe in thy mounting until thou send down to us a book that we could read." Say "Glory to my Lord! am I aught but a man an apostle?"1794 What kept men back from Belief when Guidance came to them
was nothing but this they said "Has Allah sent a man like us) to be(His)Apostle?" -
peace warner,
thank you brother for your input.

dont worry about them brother
