Requesting a Verse from The Qur'an
-
Can someone give me the verse in the Qur'an where it states that there are certain parts of Qur'an which are literate and certain parts that are metaphoric? It also states that people who have 'ill hearts' will interpret the metaphorical to their 'evil' deeds and the fact that good stands clear from bad.
Thanks.

Believe you're thinking of 37.

37 does not say there is some metaphorical verses and some are literal, it says some have well established meaning and others are illogical or vague , the sick people will use the illogical ones to spread discord trying to understand what they mean but the believers will not chase the meaning of the illogical ones and just accept it as the words of Allah along with the well established meaning ones
Peace

verse 37 does not say "literal" or "metaphorical" . it says "muhkamat/governing" and "mutashabihat/similar/resembling" ayat . -
Peace be upon you Neo,
Can someone give me the verse in the Qur'an where it states that there are certain parts of Qur'an which are literate and certain parts that are metaphoric?
You will not find such a verse. The verse that is incorrectly alluded to is 37 which speaks of "al kitaab" (universal law) , not "al quran" (the proclamation/reading). They are not the same thing.
