Gathering of the Like Minded

Despite our differnces i think there is much that unites us. Whilst the forum discussion are excellent they can take us only so far and by the vary nature of written discussion they often became adversary as often an opposing view has to be posted to enable the discussion to continue, hence lead to disagreements when non might exist. Also those of us who are not so blessed with natural literary talents cannot always express ourselves as we might wish.
Whilst we have our differences there is much that unites us and i feel that way forward(&I am not sure if this is a correct term) would be to perhaps organise a gathering of the free-minds members. It would not only be good opportunity to clear many our misunderstandings, allow social interaction amongst like minded(I think) it might also be the beginnin of Quran alone movement & only God knows where it might lead to.
I live in the UK and would be interested in the views of others whether they think is good or bad idea. Please e-mail me directly if you wish.

We can actually do it all withoit leaving our comuters, through PalTalk, we create a room called "whatever we want to call it" and we meet there "it is free" and we can debate life and the mic will be moved between us and the rest will hear the speaker and so on

And serve God and do not set up anything with Him, and be kind to the parents, and the relatives, and the needy, and the neighbour who is of kin, and the neighbour next door, and the friend far away, and the traveller, and those who are still dependent. God does not like the arrogant, the boastful.

D That's just the way things work on these boards. One guy can throw a thread in a whole different direction. Don't lose heart though. Tay was talking about the same thing on another thread (that had nothing to do with that subject either ).

I think we should organise big events/talks/seminars openly. The funding side I think could be looked after by all of us, as we got so many members. What are we waiting for? What?
Who dares, wins! I mean the hearts and minds of people, so that we can have a better society which would allow us to do things we are supposed to do here for the future before it is too late...

While there's no way right now I can afford going to US or England or any other countries, I do meet with like-minded people here in Jakarta. Of course, there is no regular meeting set up yet. But perhaps in the future things will be different.
If, by chance or luck, I get enough money to travel abroad with my wife, I'd really like to meet some FM members. ;D

The US is quite a big place, however to move this idea further, why don't we organise a gathering in UK?
Can we do what we say? Anybody ready for this to bring things to the next level? I think the people who are running the show here have the responsibility to start discussing this perhaps right here! If there are difficulities of any nature please point out.
