I asked the question at the beggining of the thread mainly because I am confused about the issue.
I once was a bible believing Christian, that bought into the ideas of Jesus Return from the traditions of the Christian Church.
It is a very important issue to Christians, almost as important as the idea of the Human sacrifice for the atonement of sins.
The evolutionary process that I went thru that finally culminated in becoming a revert, was long and very painful.
After Arnold introduced me to Akbarally Meherally, i was in for more pain in discovering the truth that Jesus in NOT coming back, and very probably died in France, after having a daughter.
The sword of the truth cuts both ways, it free's us from the evil associated with believing lies, but cuts deeply into my heart where I thought I knew the truth about issues like Jesus' return.
So I hope that answers your question, why it is such an important issue. I have a lot more to say about this but I like short posts.

I always heard it was the Magdalene who was buried in France.
But... there are many ways in which a person could return in a future generation.
And ...one of the biggest stumbling blocks within the church, I think, is to automatically isolate "Christ" with "Jesus"
...as if they were the same, inseparable thing.Jesus ..or Isa would refer to a person, a physical body, while Christ is more of a spiritual concept.
(Body of Christ and so forth.) -
And most surely it is a knowledge (ٌ of the hour <- to warn about the Hour, so as other prophets
therefore have no doubt about it <- no doubt about the Hour

They never killed him

But it appeared so to them
and the matter remained dubious to them
Those who hold conflicting views on this issue are but confused
They have no real knowledge
and they are following mere conjecture
Most certainly, they never killed him
Nay, God exalted him in His Sight
God is Almighty, Wise.
Everyone among the People of the Book must believe before dying
in the truth just stated
Jesus will be a witness against them on the Day of Resurrection.

?Worship me and my mother as gods besides God??
He will respond

You are the Knower of what is beyond human perception.?

?Worship and obey God my Lord and your Lord.?I was a witness to them as long as I lived AMONG them <- Who? Refer above, "before dying"
After You caused me to die <- Jesus is dead, before Muhammad
You were the Watcher over them <- Who?
and You are Witness over all things and events.

The way God formulates it in Quran it is quite improbable that Jesus would return to life again. God, according to Quran, asks Jesus what the response to him was and Jesus replies that he has no knowledge of this. It would be an awkward question in case he would return, as Jesus would be updated about all years between his death and return since he can study human history if he hypothetically becomes resurrected and the question by God could be considered dumb.
So it is easy to conclude that Jesus is not returning unless Quran is misinterpreted, but it seems like so simple language of those verses to be the case.
Nothing seems to support the idea that Jesus would ever return in Quran. I think the idea originates from the Bible.

If we keep to Christian spirit, and it might do us good, Jesus will return, he has returned many times, keeps returning all the time, and many ignore him. He returns in the persecuted, in the humiliated, in the poor and wretched, in the tortured, in the oppressed. Wouldn't it be great if he did not return so often! But it is funny that many Christians ignore him, have ignored him, and instead have applauded the persecutors, the torturers, the exploiters, the cruel...
Why so much emphasis on the letter? Is it not the spirit that counts so much for Christians.
Hes Jesus returns every day everywhere and we still crucify him.

Where does it say he never tasted death, that goes against the Quran as the Qurann says that EVERYONE must taste death, so that means everyone. If you say about the verse that Jesus was 'taken up', that also has been translated wrong, as it says Jesus was raised in status, not in body. He survived the crucifixion, that is why he wasn't crucified, as you have to die tehn, if i excecute you, and you live, then i haven't excecuted you. I tried too that is all. This is exactly what the Quran is telling us, Jesus lived, the crucifixion was a hoax, just to get the authority and his enemies of his back. Read the book please. As it contains all the answers you need...

you forgot the two stories one of a man made to die for a 100 years and the other the story of the sleepers in al khalf. the read the stories in the quran and inshallah you better understand the ways of ALLAH. and it does not go against the quran but understand that we must believe in all the messagers of ALLAH. it is a requisite of faith spoken of in surah baqarah or so also somewhere else in the quran. jesus is not god or anything but he definitely is a manifest sign of god he is so popular and famed that his name is still said to this day everywhere!
