Is banning forever?

It is clear and known today that it was a fake accussation made for the one and only purpose to get him out of here. The truth in that point didnt matter any more and no one of the admins or mods even botherd to find it out... it was a very mean and unfair game.
A female memeber of this forum made serious allegation against jaxal, which apparently were made on the prompting of another male member. As I am aware there was no evidence for these allegations and my understanding is that the accuser has admitted as much.
Exactly this is what happend. She admitted to have done so only to do a favour to her friend. I know this for sure coz she said to me so.

I am glad this is finally out in the open. It was sooooooooooooooo wrong, especially in a forum where we discuss God's ways.
As for the wrong doers to accept their mistake here in public, it would take honesty , humility and guts, which I doubt they possess, even though they claim to be Quran followers.
But to think even the administrator and one of the moderators came forth and publicly sided the wrong claim without looking for any evidence and ended up falsely accusing someone of such a grave crime, is quite bad, especially in a forum where we discuss Quran, justice, righteousness. There is always big talk about these with Quran verses quoted in every other line.Is it all only words or do people even follow those words?

Hasn't banning been long enough for DQ and Jaxal? I mean is it not possible to have a new start, with the new forum, and welcome back those members?
Layth had mentioned this to me when we were about to move to the new board and start "afresh". The only problem I had with this suggestion was that if we were to un-ban these two, it would be unfair to all the others who were previously banned and, therefore, we would have to re-instate everyone who was ever banned from the beginning.
Now I'll ask you guys this, and I would appreciate honest answers please... would you accept DQ and JaXaL to be re-instated along with everyone else from the beginning? This question would be most fairly answered by those who have been members for a minimum of 2-3 years, to really know who they're inviting back. I'm not trying to scare you or anything, I'm just asking if that decision were up to you, what would you do?

On the banning issue...
My view is that there can be no selective unbanning...Either the whole list is unbanned and we start new, or nothing changes.
However, there will continue to be behaviour which warrants the action outlined in the forum rules (and which will lead to banning). So, until the next time we have this discussion...

Surely the moderators need to look at this and if it is true then action needs to be taken against those that are involved in this appalling state of affair.
although i doubt if the moderators will do such thing as justice does not appear to be an item very high on their agenda.Very true.

I spoke with her about this issue and she admitted in our conversation that she wrote a pm to Layth with the faked accussation that Jaxal would harass female members of the board. No one of the female members felt this way and they expressed even so, but no one listened.
Jaxal didnt harass female members and it was indeed a very cheap trick to kick him out - unfortunately it worked.Regards

This is a touchy topic. Personally, DQ getting banned again was because of precisely what Layth mentioned, which was that it cannot be selective. This means to allow DQ back we must let all banned members come back. I think DQ was a fun guy who did have a millitant way of posting, but compared to what we've seen on the forum since (some people know exactly what I'm talking about), and those people still allowed to post...it's just a travesty that they aren't out as well even though they use different tactics imo they are worse. I would definitely welcome him back along with all the others (which one would have to do to make it fair and non biased). This means albion, apple pie shudders, prince zed (is he not VE in disguise?) and the other unsavouries. So what Joe is saying is correct, we are inviting a whole host of problems because unbanning cannot be selective or it is biased. Since it is a new forum, one can hope that starting anew means things might get better, or that someone will really have to sit poised on the banning button.
As for Jaxal, and why I did not include him in the above...I think that if there have been false accusations against him, he does not fall in the above category. The female who falsely accused him must tell the admin, because talking about it with her friends does not an official retraction make. If she does not come forward, then evidence by others should be presented to the admin. I would hope she forwarded some evidence in her favour, but if she didn't and the admin took her at her word and she admits to them that she lied...then Jaxal must be reinstated. By justifying that 'someone told me to do it', is as laughable as 'the voices told me to stick a fork in my teddy'. She is the one who actually complained, if she is proven a liar after admitting that there was no smoke or fire, her testimony is useless henceforth. It doesn't matter if an alleged male told her to do it or little green men. This is a serious issue.

I am against banning forever. Let everybody in and watch,, if a member would misbehave, and continue misbehaving and violating the forum rules while ignoring all warnings (open or private) from Mods, then a fair action should be taken against that member, something like banning for only a period of time.
