isn't the purpose of the Hajj currently being fulfilled - even if you don't go on a pilgrimage to Macca and Medina?

Tv's ,Article's , Internet e.t.c

Is it really worth the bother of setting it up like in the days of abraham -even though these communications vehicles were not available then.
