Maurice Bucaille is a french doctor who learned arabic just to study the coran, and then
wrote a famous book about, i'm sure u've all heard about it sometime.here's a brief history about him.
Dr. Maurice Bucaille is an eminent French surgeon, scientist, scholar and author of "THE BIBLE, THE QUR'AN AND SCIENCE" which contains the result of his research into the Judeo-Christian Revelation and the Qur'an. It is a unique contribution in the field of religion and science.
Being an outstanding Scientist, he was selected to treat the mummy of Merneptah (Pharaoh) which he did. During his visit to Saudi Arabia he was shown the verses of the Holy Qur'an in which Allah says that the dead body of the Pharaoh will be preserved as a "Sign" for posterity. An impartial scientist like Dr. Bucaille, who (being also a Christian) was conversant with the Biblical version of Pharaoh's story as being drowned in pursuit of Prophet Moses. He was pleasantly surprised to learn that unknown to the world till only of late, the Holy Qur'an made definite prediction about the preservation of the body of that same Pharaoh of Moses' time. This led Dr. Bucaille to study the Holy Qur'an thoroughly after learning the Arabic language. The final conclusion of his comparative study of Qur'an and the Bible is that the statements about scientific phenomena in the Holy Qur'an are perfectly in conformity with the modern sciences whereas the Biblical narration's on the same subjects are scientifically entirely unacceptable.

Maurice Bucaillle was an ordinary French Physician and lived in Saudi Arabia as an expatriate doctor to Saudi King Family. He was not a better doctor than any of those hundreds of Bangladeshi or Indian expatriate Physicians working in Saudi Arabia. But because, he was the Physician for Saudi King Family he developed a special relation with Saudi King. To keep Dharma Bebosha' (religious trade) booming, Saudi king asked him to write a book highlighting Qur'anic science for which the King offered him $6 million dollars. Clever French Doctor wrote the book "The Bible, The Quran and Science", got $ 6 millions (from the Saudi King) and got another $ 2 millions by selling his book (according to Dr. Campbell). This book was sold in Islamic World like a hot cake. It was told that, this doctor distorted the actual translation of Holy Qur'an by intentional/selective choosing of various meanings of Arabic words in order to match his theory of scientific explanation

Now maurice bucaille got 6 million dollars!! That man spent four years learning
arabic to study to coran. If money was his aim, why didn't he use a translated version
of the coran and formulate his theories with it?? I've been studying the story of this man,
and i can tell that all these rumors r spread by the jews and christians to reject the fact
that to coran contains infos that does not exist in the bible.

And you come out and conveniently compare a four year study course done by just one non-muslim French physician to countless years of studies done by highly intellectual biased and unscrupulous scholars? Have you forgotten the native Christian Arabs and thousands of other non-muslims who may have studied or speak Arabic and are simply born or reside in certain Muslim countries in which this language is spoken? I have known English all my life, must I study the entire Bible and proclaim it GOD's Words?

Maurice Bucaille (born 1920) was a French doctor, scientist, scholar and author.
At one time, he was the chief of the surgical clinic of the University of Paris.
Later, he was appointed family physician to King Faisal of Saudi Arabia.
In 1976, he addressed the French Academy of Medicine and published a book entitled The Bible, The Qur'an and Science, which sought to demonstrate that the Qur'an unlike the Bible, was perfectly consistent with modern science.
Currently, his religion is not known. At one point, he was a Catholic and he knows Catholicism quite well, sometimes quoting modernistic Catholic scholars. According to Christian scholar and author, William Campbell, as of 1976, Dr. Bucaille had said that he is not a Muslim"

Don't forget that Maurice Bucalle was first and foremost a physician and not a scientist who studied and researched mummification. Another point is that there were several mummies found and how did he know Pharoah from others? Do you have any link to his studies and research done on mummification?

What year before his death did Maurice embrace Islam and where is his proclamation, lets hear it from you?

Firstly, I never said his "findings" were wrong. Secondly, several other scientists have undergone thorough research of all mummies found and none have yet precisely and accurately determined the REAL PHAROAH and studies are still ongoing. As for the money part, I gave the link where bribery was mentioned and there are other links that mention the same. Can you bring a link that shows he never took bribery? Last but not least, studies and research on mummifications were done in France long before he became a 'slave' to King Faisal.
It all fits in perfectly without a grudge, yet the "thugs" will exaggerate and bent-over-backwards beyond recognition to prove their point across just to make the Quran to become automatically "Allah's Words", and here they are contradicting themselves all over the forum and in the entire world, taking Allah's name in vain. The Quran is NOT GOD but a historical book written by MEN to be read, understood and reflected upon.FINAL POINTS Mummification of bodies was a common traditional trend in all parts of the world for spiritual and sacred reasons and not just during Moses? times. Mummies of humans and animals have been found long before Muhammad?s times as well as during his time and are still being found, the fact that ?Muhammad? and his people already knew and not by some mythical angel secretly revealing him this information. Study, research and analyze the earliest mummies found and their corresponding names and dates in encyclopedias and other historical/scientific links. Here?s a few links for starters
