I'm taking a Women Studies course and a lady mentioned something that I think I will carry with me into parenthood if I GW become a father some time in the future. She spoke of how people tell their children to not lie and then the parents contradict themselves and go on lying themselves. If their child happens to tell the truth the parent is likely to beat them for it thus sending an indirect or perhaps a very direct message that 'you do not tell the truth, but lie'. It's a contradictory world and we should try to raise our children in 'order' and not 'choas' from the very beginnings. Remember the child is like a blank slate and they absorb all things like a sponge.
Take care.
