im not sure if this has been posted before but it crossed my mind. how would you go about this verse.....

629 O YOU who have attained to faith! When the call to prayer is sounded on the day of congregation, hasten to the remembrance of God, and leave all worldly commerce this is for your own good, if you but knew it. -Muhammad Asad

629 O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic) That is best for you if ye but knew! - yusuf ali

629 O ye who believe! When the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know. - M. Picktall

(those are the only translation of the meanings icould find)

ok so how would you go about praying in a group? in congregation? do any of u do it..

      Peace,

Yes, i do it. And we take the most logic approach, one leading the prayer, doesn't matter where he/she stands. it is also better if the persons stand in one row, also the prayer leader, whereby it doesn't matter it is a woman or not. So people have not any weird feelings looking at a woman's b... well you know men.....

For the rest, my idea of prayer resembles Layth's concept, see Quranic behaviour on the articles page.

please see the salat & zakat section of the forum. there, you will see your above statement is not applicable.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.
