since you referenced 95, you may wish to read the following article

      http//mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/think-786/disproved_salatequalsprayer.htm

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Peace simple and all. Never mind the dictionaries, translations and cross-referencing.....What you say is partly true....we need dialogue/counsel to try to increase the peace.....You think the palestinians and israelis under oppression are waiting for a new translation of the quran, fiddling with dictionaries, knowledge on how to pray 3 or 5 times, asking what salat is,or unrealistic logic......? No....they want practical peace, stability and prosperity bro....
We should be discussing that in practical terms, and doing what we can ......
If a house is on fire, put the fire out first, then you may comment on the poor decorations on the wall,if you wish...

I agree - but I was just making a remark that the quran is telling us what the americos and brits , frenchies are /where trying to accomplish ...Peace through dialogue and commitments from both sides.....but both after making comittments arn't forthcoming and thus end up in the hell hole.

The quran has come to all of mankind -some are practicing and some went back to idolatry as aymans part 1 showed e.t.c

And some of us are finding it tuff to change get off the road of idol worship.

            God Bless you.

              Peace Simple

You are throwing the word idolatry around too loosely. You don't know what is in the hearts of others. Please bro, try to refrain from this sort of behavior. Please re-read sura # 80. Praying, whether you believe it to be dua or salat IS prescribed in the quran. Some believe salat is not a prayer, dua is definitely mentioned and so either way, you really do have to pray to God. It's distorted to believe idolatry = praying to God. I don't know how you reached that conclusion, but it's understandable, considering the amount of disputing articles that are out there regarding the salat. I strongly advise you to read and re-read every article you come across. Don't be afraid to question it and tear it apart until you find an explanation (or combination of explanations) that make the most logic QURANICALLY speaking.

The hell hole they are in was made by these same states you mentioned as trying to "help" them. Please refer to the much disputed Belfour Declaration. What happened in what is present-day Israel is a tragedy. However, I wouldn't blame the victims for the crime.

              Peace all

                Refrain from what behaviour?

If some one's behaviour is idolistic ,what do you call it - irrespective of what is in their heart, it doesn't mean i am finger pointing at a particular person. Some people might say hindues are idol worshippers , is that allowed may be ?

Once i inquired from a bhudist temple , "are you people idol worshippers ?they said they where."

i gues some people don't mind being called what they practice and then again some do - who cares.

                God Bless.

                  Peace Simple

It is offensive to believers when you question their faith in God simply because they do not agree with your opinion. If buddhists love the label "idol worshipper" it doesn't really relate to you throwing the word around at Muslims. Idolatry is abhorred in Islam. Islam in it's true nature is extremely iconophobic whereas Buddhism is at the opposite extreme being iconoclastic. You cannot compare the two in any respect.

Twice you have referred to others' opinions on this forum as being equivalent to idolatry. This type of extreme behavior is wrong. I was giving you sincere advice to re-evaluate your harsh judgements on others, but if you don't care, then peace.

I would advise you to research the topic of idolatry as it pertains to the quran alone. Sunnis/Shias love to throw that word around for shock value in order for others to conform. I think that's something we should refrain from. If you disagree that's fine.

                  Peace once again

                    Salaams Br,

Twice you have referred to others' opinions on this forum as being equivalent to idolatry

certainly i would very much like to re-evaluate what is idolatory if you say i am wrong but please can you identify where i have wrongly used the term - as by looking at the respective posts i would be more effective then merely trying to figure out where i called decent human beings such.

                    Thanks for your help.

                    Gods Blessings on all.

I'm not picking on you ! Don't think of my post as an attack but a gentle reminder ... I'm not perfect, I make plenty of mistakes too ! I just found a few words in your post that were a bit offensive ... If you'd like to know exactly where then here you go but just know that I'm not interested in arguing. If you can take the advice for whatever it's worth great if not then peace handshake

Ok. Done with the disclaimer. Here goes

So much confusion, that even some people here who think they are not idol worshippers are I think they simply can't let go of idolatry - now some people are concocting the three time a day traditional-salaat - I think.

Here as bro Imran pointed out, to pray 3 times a day is not idolatry.
                      Which you apologized for here

Sorry Bro to you yours .

                      Gods Blessings.

But in a later post you used the term idolatry to refer to Muslims once again...

The quran has come to all of mankind -some are practicing and some went back to idolatry as aymans part 1 showed e.t.c

And some of us are finding it tuff to change get off the road of idol worship.

This is why I concluded that perhaps your definition of idolatry needs some improvement. Labelling someone an idol-worshipper if he/she claims she's Muslim is a big thing. It shouldn't be said so casually or easily. As bro Imran stated, it's one thing to have a different opinion about how to worship God Alone.. it's another thing to place other gods with God, and I think you need to differentiate between the two.

                      No hard feelings )
                      Peace all

                        Salaams My Br,

Its just that i hate to hurt anybody whether they are muslim , hindu , jew, star worshippers - as long as they don't harm others and don't abuse the rights of others they may do what ever they do.

But i feel sorry for certain people and to be Honest no offence meant , I do consider a normal Salaat Idolatory and even the three Salaat idolatory but that is my opinion according to my studies of the quran.

But if i call something an orange you call that an apple fare enough - it may just be our understandings.

I am not here to change anybody but just sometimes put forward an opinion - it may be a blessing to some - as i see but load of nonsense to some aswell maybe.

God Bless you and thanks for the help.
