Mushriks ?Are those who obey the devil and obey the God.
Alshirko ? hypocrisy.
It wasn?t /isn?t because they call themselves sons of God but because they follow their anchorites instead of Allah.
The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them how they are deluded away from the Truth!
They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).
(Both) the Jews and the Christians say "We are sons of Allah, and his beloved." Say "Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men,- of the men he hath created He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and He punisheth whom He pleaseth and to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between and unto Him is the final goal (of all)"
It is the deeds that determine whether you are doing shirk-see the following set of ayah?s.

YUSUFALI That was a people that hath passed away. THEY SHALL REAP THE FRUIT OF WHAT THEY DID, AND YE OF WHAT YE DO! Of their merits there is no question in your case

YUSUFALI The fools among the people will say "What hath turned them from the Qibla to which they were used?" Say To Allah belong both east and West He guideth whom He will to a Way that is straight.So is it so to be a follower of trad muslims and their ulama?s shirk also?
