Translation of `Jinn`

Peace
I deleted all my posts in this thread and I feel a great sense of relief...I'm not surprised at all. Your posts were embarassing but what you've done shows cowardliness and means you are untrustable for future conversations as you are liable to do the same thing again. Everything has a consequence.
If you look at the replies that people have given you, your replies are still quoted within their replies so you cannot escape your statements.
Your act of deletion was immature, but as long as you've learned something then it may have been worthwhile. Don't put your name to things that will embarass you later.
Peace.

I have read the story of S2S, where she says she has been in contact with invisible spirits like ghosts.
Since I have never experienced this kind of thing, I do not believe in it. Yet, I am unable to explain what happened to S2S.
Do such beings really exist? My response is ?I think not, but I don?t know?.Anyway, IMHO, this kind of strange beings (whether they exist or not) does not fit in the word jinn in the Quran the jinn, as they are described in the Quran, have nothing to do with genies or ghosts.
The sunni hold that the jinn referred to in the Quran are such genies/ghosts. They also hold that they can possess humans, and that, then, the possessed persons can be cured by roqya (exorcism).
What I cannot agree with is that they claim Iblis/Shaytan is a such a genie/ghost.
For me, Iblis is the archetype of an arrogant mind/person it is arrogance personified. And Shaytan is the archetype of the misleading mind/person.
Iblis becoming Shaytan means to me that arrogant persons always become misleaders.
Fighting Shaytan means trying to be aware of all that is misleading around us. To be arrogant is to be like Iblis. Thus, When the sunni say Iblis/Shaytan is a genie/ghost, they lose all these lessons of the Quran. Iblis is no longer the arrogant side of us, hence the arrogance of the sunnis. And Shaytan is no longer the misleader, hence the fact the sunnis are so easily misled by their clergymen (the actual shaytans, along with the dictators).
When you see Iblis/Shaytan as a genie/ghost, you can think you have never had to do with it, and that you are safe with it, as long as you have never lived a paranormal experience. Therefore, this belief hijacks a great part of the spiritual lessons of the Quran.
My 2 cents?

Greetings and Peace,
I have a question along the same lines as the subject matter of this post. Are these the only four categories of creatures that God has created
1.) Angels
2.) Jinns
3.) Humans
4.) AnimalsForgot to add this How come we can only see animals and not the angels and jinns? Your opnions?
God be praised.

Peace,
Angel is wrongly translated, mailkah means 'one in control/authority, and refers to anything that fits that title. From forces of nature to kings and so on.
As for jinn, please read my article to see why the old view doesn't fithttp//www.free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=6089.0
It is attached to that post, see below it.

Allah says in the Quran that the day a community will see Angels, that means their time of reckoning has come. This does not fit with the idea that Angels are not real beings. We will certainly see Angels at the time of our death.
PS I will not argue about Jinns as I got slapped by a mod about it... -
peace
you dont see angels and jinns because they are a test of faith, if you saw them there would be nothing to believe and everything would be pointless. It's like if everybody could see God wouldn't they all believe?
-

Respectfully
I believe the Jinns issues are another ball game altogether. -

everyone CAN see God.
and how does not having invisible beings to blindly believe in make everything pointless?

Peace. The Believers are the ones who when the ignorant address them, they answer Peace - Quran ...

Exactly
I can't believe those literalists who can't believe that they are hidden creatures as Allah told us
for them you should see what exists, well do they see God?
as you said bro it is all about testing the faith

I think you mean metaphorically only because Allah can't be seen for real yet, no human sae Him for real yet
