Respectfully.Hi, i have this really big problem and i know i shouldn't bother everyone with it, there are enough problems in the world without me.
Now, my problem is this
In 1999 i got deported because when i arrived to San Francisco, i was approached by a cop and he offered me a job. Rookie that i was, i didn't know, i accepted and therefore broke the law.
I was deported and banned from entering the States for 5 years.On january 9th, this year i went to Frisco again and again i got deported apparently because i was already deporrted once before. I don't get this. Why was i deported for the second time? And why did i get this info at US embassy here in Slovenia they told me that Homeland Security in Frisco believes that i might be living there and working there and God knows what.
I met the immigration judge there and he banned me for 10 years!!! Why? I have no idea what is going on, why was i deported this time and what to do? I have a lawyer there who is on my case but it's going very slowly.I do have several questions on this issue

I wanted to go to Hollywood since i was 13.
Now with this ban .... i don't know, i was even thinking moving to Brasil, maybe live in rain forest because if i can't get to Hollywood .... you know?See, i can be a great asset if i'm in L.A., but now i made this mistake and i don't think i've done anything wrong. I just arrived there and got deported. I'm still clueless. Now when people ask me why was i deported this time, i just tell them the truth I do not know.

Unfortunally i think it is too late for you now. What you could have done was get an invite. An American or a citizen who will sign under that you are his/its guest.
But I must ask you, why do you want to go to Hollywood?

Respectfully.Everybody is entitled to his/her opinion, i'm not offended by anything you say but the reason i wanna go to Holylwood is simple i wanna direct movies. I'm good ast writing screenplays and directing movies is not that hard.
With mone ymade from the movies, i can be a better muslim by helping the community.

Well that is a noble motif, if i ever heard one. But why not go the independant way. There are something up about hollywood that is no good at all. Nomatter your good intentions, dont strike a deal with the devil. The community doesnt need that, we need a caring brother more to change things on an individual level.

I know, Hollywood, the celebtrities, the rich and the fameous, people are very arrogant, they spend very little on the poor and they act as if the world can be bought for any amount of money.But.
Why not change that ..... from inside? There are plenty of movies that send out a message, would you say? Of course, they all live a rich life and don't know what's it like to be poor. But if i go there and tell my story in form of a movie or at some party, people will start thinking in that direction.
I wanna go independent. I wanna be independent producer, director and writer. Why? Because i believe that we can change the movie industry. Movie industry doesn't have to make famous people and make them rich, movie industry can provide enough help to reconstruct, let's say Chad.
I'm sure that if Schwarzenegger was a muslim, and if he followed Qur'an alone, he'd read in it that charity is a Right Path to >Paradise and not driving that Humvee of his. He's got like $$$$$300.000.000 USD! He alone can help, like, thousands of people in Africa!But will he???????

Because he doesn't follow Qur'an. I follow Qur'an. I would never allow myself to have more money on the bank account then absolutely necessary. I mean, Oprah Winfrey, and i love her show, spends $$$$$10.000 USD on each of her eyebrows! Each! Can ou believe that?
I wonder how many people can eat with that money in Peru? Or how many kids can go to school in Chile? Or how much food can you send with that money to Afghanistan and Iraq?I know, i know, Hollywood can be devil and going there is a temptetion. But, wasn't Muhammad also on the same mission? I mean, he had a job after he went from Mecca to Medina, to return to Mecca and change things, tell them something and survive. He returned to Mecca, where people who wanted him dead lived. There, he told them about the Qur'an. Don't you think he was scared at some point?
I still think that i can write such scripts and direct such movies that can make a difference, that can attract mass audience and still be Islamic.

I agree with Magi . You don't need hollywood ! You can make it as an independent filmmaker. There are hundreds of independent film festivals all over the world celebrating this type of work . It is a growing field and worth investing in. I know if I had the talent to write scripts and produce, I would take that route. It may actually be easier to become recognized faster than to go thru conventional hollywood. Hollywood is an insider game. you need to know somebody that knows somebody.. get what i mean? It is more of a fair ground on the independent scene and allows for a broader spectrum of ideas and issues to be discussed in the films. You can make great money too, especially if you hit it big in the international film festivals ! Best Wishes to you !

A good story transcends all borders and countries. The better the script, the better its chances of being made. Perhaps being in Hollywood would give you a slightly higher chance of making it, but I think it would be neglibile.

I agree with most of the thoughts posted. First, the timing couldn't be better for independant filmmaking. I don't think it's ever been bigger. Heck, one good ending could get you 6 figures (see "Skeleton Key" while you're still in drama school.
As for the marriage/business proposal thing, if you're that desperate to get into this country, and believe me the grass isn't all that green over here, then I don't see a problem with marrying someone as a means of getting papers. But, the key is 100% honesty. Although, I do believe it's a lot harder to fake that sort of thing these days.

I would suggest trying to meet up with a producer somewhere in Europe (if that's even possible.) Or just try to make movies in the UK. Americans watch British movies (they're in english). The only benefit of working in Hollywood is that America is the biggest market (for everything) and you get a lot of money. As long as you make a movie that'll get released here...

I agree with most of what has been posted so far. Hollywood is not the end all be all of it, one could make a great independent movie easier outside the US imo. I also don't think it's a problem marrying someone for their green card as long as you are upfront about it if it is purely a proposition that can benefit both parties, as the person should be told what it is that you are doing. If you want to make a go of serious/real marriage yet want someone with a green card, that should be fine. Be aware though that it's illegal to do the former and if the person decides to rat on you during the process and sometimes even after and they uphold that, you will be permanently deported. I'm not sure how doing something illegal is okay in the quran according to a countries rules. I think one is suppposed to respect the jurisdiction of others and not violate that.
I would still advise you try and see if you can do without Hollywood. My brother is also studying direction and the US is really not the only place where one can produce/direct and spawn movies. You could make small projects on your own, maybe rent in a group a 9mm or something and maybe go somewhere else for courses or whatever. This would give you a better chance of doing something outside the US.P.S. I wouldn't mind spending $10 on my eyebrows.

we altso need to hink about money as representing energy. Money is worth nothing on their own, so think about what energy went into the money found in your pocket. When you get change back, you are not in control of how those money came into circulation, but if you deal with known gangsters, like the cult of the star of saturn, there is a good chance that their money is not halal. plain and simply. I do not belive that fake, stolen or blood money is valid for believers to use knowingly.

If i married it would not be for the green card or only for the green card, as i said before, i wanted to get married PRIOR to my deportation but now that i got deported, it only seems that i wanna get married to a US citizen.

I am European, white, i do not dress like Arabs, i wear clothes as the people elsewhere in Europe, i own a suit and i wore it yesterday when i went to the Us embassy.Yesterday i was US embassy and they told me that i am not banned from the States for 10 years, that i just need an entry visa and something that holds me here (marriage, kids, real estate, permanent job...etc). The guy that misinformed me about the entry visa, now tells me that i just need to work for like 3 months and then i ask for this entry visa and i can go back again.

I don't wanna marry a woman just to get in America and then divorce her, that would be cruel and hurtful because i wouldn't want someone to do that to my daughter, if i had one in the future.

Now, i'm gonna go with this news. I'm gonna get a job, maybe buy real estate, open my own business as a movie director here, i appreciate your advice brothers and sisters, and then after, let's say, 6 or 12 months, i'll try to ask for that entry visa and insha'Allah i'll be in the States.
But marriage proposal still stands. I'd love to marry a woman who follow Qur'an alone, even if she is from Chile, Chad, Japan or Russia. In fact, i was considering for a while marrying a girl from Bosnia so she can come to my country because it would help her and i'd be rewardwed on the other side, insha'Allah.
I wanna help and maybe it would be better if i marry some woman who follows Qur'an alone, from countries such as Chad, Afganistan, Iraq, Chile and such countries where women suffer under the tough regimes of their countrymen.

It is not enough to marry just because that you want to help someone unfortunate. It is ideally supposed to be a lifelong commitment and this person might be the mother of your children and teach them, as well as be an integral part of your household. I think you might already know this so that's good. You could come across such a person anywhere, maybe even in your own country. Good luck with what you choose to do.

I would not marry a woman only to change location, i wanna marry and have kids with this woman, regardless of her citizenship. I wann make a family with a woman i marry, i would never treat her as means to get into the country and then ditch her after i get green card. That would be not only a sin, but later in life something similar can find me or my family. I wouldn't want my cousins to be in such position.As salamu alaykum.
