Peace ab. Im sure danishes surah can be translated into classical fuhsha arabic, and made to rhyme...
    And you say danish needs to bring in allah to witness that this is a surah from him....? Well i look forward to you bringing allah to witness that he wrote the quran.....In person.....!!! All danish needs to do is to create a rhyming arabic verse that states that this surah is from god.....!!! I will show how;
'This surah is from among the signs of allah'.
Then translate to poetic arabic......Simple.....The challenge has been met....What excuses you got now? bravo

      peace

I like mquran's explanation of "a surah like it" challenge. But i'm not entirely sure about it.
But I think that if we can verify Danish's poem and use it's message to improve our everyday lives, then it would be another surah like it.

          peace

Not verified as correct, but true.
I don't know if it can refute it. Because possibly it's saying the same thing another surah in the quran is saying.
          OR...
Maybe the quran isn't a book. Maybe it's a metaphor for something...or not even a metaphor...maybe we just have the whole idea, the meaning of the word wrong.

But honestly, I don't really understand this challenge thingy.

And glad to be speaking again enq.

sun welcome offtopic whatever yeah ignore jedi angel peace muscle handshake

If this is verified as true, then it can become part of the Quran, or maybe it is already part of the Quran.
          BTW, this is just speculation.

              Selam all,

Danish did you compose it yourself or you got it somwhere else, like...?

              Its a poem.

In a famous poem, the great Jalaluddin Rumi protests vigorously against this idol-breaking programme, which applies to all Semitic religious missionaries generally, and to all Islamic conquerors and non-Sufi missionaries specially.
(Masnavi, quoted in Claude Field?s Mystics and Sufis of Islam, p. 154)

Moses, to his horror, heard one summer day
              A benighted shepherd blasphemously pray

?Lord?, he said, ?I would I know Thee, where Thou art,
That for Thee I might perform a servant?s part,

Comb Thy hair, and dust Thy shoes, and sweep Thy room,
Bring Thee every morning milk and honeycomb.?

Moses cried, ?Blasphemer!? Curb thy blatant speech!
Whom art thou addressing? Lord of all and each,

Allah the almighty? Thinkest thou He doth need
Thine officious folly? Wilt thou all bounds exceed?

Miscreant, have a care, lest thunderbolts should break
On our heads, and others perish for thy sake.

Without eyes He seeth, without ears He heareth,
              Hath no son nor partner through the endless years;

Space cannot contain Him, time He is above.
All the limits that He knows are Light and Love.?

?Put to shame, the shepherd, his poor garment rent,
Went away disheartened, his ardour spent?.

?Then spake God to Moses ?Why hast thou for Me
Driven away My servant, who goes heavily?

Not for severance it was, but union
I commissioned thee to preach, O hasty one!?

?Hatefullest of all things is to me divorce (of man from man),
              And the worst of all ways is the way of force;

I made no creation, self to aggrandize,
But that creatures might with Me communion prize.

What though the childish tongue trip? ?tis the heart I see,
If it really loves Me in sincerity.?

              Nice try

              Peace

First of all, that sounds nothing like the Qur'an.

So you're telling me that any poem that talks about God is equal to the Qur'an? Some people simply amaze me.

Why does the Qur'an have to meet your interpretation of the challenge? When I see it, I interpret it as the Qur'an telling us to produce a sura like it in the sense of its divinity. Not literally write a poem about God.

You interpreting it that way is fine. PLEASE ENQUIRER, please don't go off on me. Whatever Danish believes and the way he interprets a verse is fine, I completely respect it. But I'm asking that people don't interpret it that way and then find a poem, throw their hands up in the air and say "It's been met!"

Again, I have no problem with anyone's beliefs. I really don't mind, trust me. I really don't. I'm simply asking people to use logic.

                    Peace

I may be waaayy off I'm not sure yet... but perhaps God didn't really mean a chapter at all. If we see in 222, God is mentioning all the AYAT (miracles) around us.

The One who made the earth habitable for you, and the sky a structure. He sends down from the sky water, to produce all kinds of fruits for your sustenance. You shall not set up idols to rival GOD, now that you know.

Then immediately after He poses His challenge for us to create a surah like it. Surah in the classical arabic dictionary could mean 'sign of high ranking' I checked it here if anyone would like to verify it themselves http//www.studyquran.co.uk/PRLonline.htm.

That would make the challenge not to create a poem and try and pull it off as something like quran, but instead create a habitable earth out of nothing as God mentioned in the aya before.

Of course, I could be way off, and it could really mean creating a chapter like that in the quran, which would still be equally as difficult. Sorry Bro Danish, that poem just didn't do much for me today in the real world ... but I have yet to hear how you figured it could equal a surah in the quran. I think it would be interesting to hear your analysis.

                          Peace All

The quranic sura like it challenge can never be met as Allah says, and threads like this reaffirms that belief time and again,it is truly a vain attempt.Salam

Well if allah says so,it must be true, hey??!! So no point in questioning what allah says, just follow his alleged words, and what people think those words mean. (which of course means differing and contradictory views from differing people on the exact same verses.)....True circular logic....? What ever happened to verse 1736,and all the claims that the quran encourages you to think and ponder before making claims and judgements??? muscle muscle handshake

salam and what about verses like we hear and obey?what about challenging Allah? Why is it wrong to take Allah's word as it is?for me if Allah says it i hear and obey and acknowledge it,how others take it,does not affect me.Salam

If allahs words are clear enough for you to understand with the hundreds of differing and contradictory explanations, and if commands which defy moral sense are fine to follow, then i suppose you can use allah as an excuse to do whatever you think the quran says...But in reality these senseless interpretations, challenges and theological guessworks will be opposed... muscle muscle muscle handshake

Haha, in the first fake sura in its very first verse, there is a contradiction (can you work it out?), therefore it is not like it and it is not from our God

that was funny, jeep the entertainment up losers (this is for them not for you bro)

                                        salam

You said it right, 'enquirer'. With such contradictions and differing explanations, any "surah like it" will do, with Allah as an excuse? yay
