Cannot help in a fight

Can someone please tell me what is the context of the following verse (431? Thanks.
4318 "What good is an offspring that is brought up to be beautiful, and cannot help in a fight?"
4315 And they assigned a share to Him from His own servants! The human being is clearly denying.
4316 Or has He selected daughters from among His creation, while He has left you with the sons?
4317 And when one of them is given news of that which he cites as an example for the Almighty, his face becomes dark, and he is miserable!
4318 "What good is an offspring that is brought up to be beautiful, and cannot help in a fight?"
4319 And they have claimed the Angels who are with the Almighty are females! Have they been made witness to their creation? We will record their testimony, and they will be asked. -

because its a common practice that a lot of parents prefer boys over girls especially in the east. This is what they think/say when a girl is born instead of a boy. And God is calling those out. This is a statement of those people

God is questioning their logic here that its wrong for them to assign angels as feminine, just like its wrong for them to be sad when God is blessing them with a daughter
4317 And when one of them is given news of that which he(as in that one person) cites as an example for the Almighty(females), his face becomes dark, and he is miserable!
