    Salam all,

The name of Hizb Allah (or pronounced hizbollah in the news-)) is I believe borrowed from the Quran and in particular verses 556 and 5822. In chapter 5, if we read from verses 551 , we may understand why the name hizb Allah (literally the party of Allah) has been chosen by the libaneese organization, it sheds some lights on their ideology foundation of their struggle.
In chapter 58, it is interesting to note that the party of Allah has been compared to hizb al-shaytan (the party of satan) and the chapter describes both parties.

I just wanted to share the above info on the meaning of hizbollah-).

    Peace. Myr.

        Salam alpha97,

I understand your doubt but my message was not on those who use the name hizb Allah but on the source from where the name hizb Allah comes-). Peace. Myr.

          Hello all

the word Hizb, is common arabic words and it means "Party", "A group of people belonging to a specific idolgy", so the name Hizb Allah means the Party of Allah

any political party is called "Hizb" then the name of that Hizb

like "Al Hizb Al Watani" the one the egyptian president belongs to

          cheers

            Yes, well said.

Hizbollah are radicalistic hypocrites who represent Shia IRAN, and not Lebanon.

Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (forever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity.

                My sentiments also.

Names don't/can't hide our actions -can they?

                Salaams.
