    Salaam to all of you!

I am new here, but not new to this concept. I was active in a muslim organization as a volunteer, where I used to hold talks to people interested in Islam. I was also actively debating Christians and replying letters to Christian fanatics officially, as well. I felt good and great and was appreciated for my knowledge and work.

One day, my friend who was helping out in the Audio Section passed me a book on the rejection of the hadith and later, Hadith a Re-evaluation by Dr Kassim. I felt very small after reading it. I was convinced that we, the muslims are in error in our practices.

From then on my journey in search for true islam was very fulfilling but tumultuous! Thanks to all the brothers and sisters who stood by their faith along the way while being branded as apostates. Three of my working colleagues along with me were branded as "murtads" and were ostracized. Till today the ostracism still stands and we are only in talking terms concerning work. The initial years were very traumatic and stressful. I am glad its over and that we are in a better position to practise true islam now. )

Hadith a Re-evaluation by Dr Kassim.

Is this an easy read for a Muslim new to this viewpoint?

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

              Salaam Wakas,

It is quite easy for someone new to this view, including a Muslim.
But, the person should be quite a patient reader.

Thanks for the welcoming messages, all. @ Wakas, Dr Kassim's Hadith - a Re-evaluation is a good book for beginners in my opinion. )

                  Salaamun alaikum,

Dr Kassim's book has converted many people from the belief of hadith including myself. I believe it's only a man of his calibre who can organise such a terrific response to the hadith issue.

AQ 4/85 Man Yashfa Shafatan asanatan Yakun Lahu Nabun (Whoso faciliates a beautiful faciliation, to him is a part thereof) ..

Peace Xawl and Welcome to the Board,

Dr. Kassim's book was one of the first that I read after submission.org and I found it mind opening at the time. It's an easy read and transition for beginners. I remember one of the people (who was deep into the history and 'science' of hadith) I tried to convince using this book, came back with a reply that was attacking Dr. Kassim's credentials and asking me how could I compare him to the ulamas of old who spent their lifetime studying quran interpretations and wrote volumes on hadith. )

                    1. Say ?Are there any of those whom you set up as partners who can guide to the truth?? Say ?God guides to the truth. Is He who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed, or the one who does not guide except after he is guided? What is wrong with you, how do you judge??
                    2. Most of them only follow conjecture. While conjecture does not avail against the truth in anything. God is aware of what they do.

                    peace
