Why isnt the Quran written in the order it was revealed?

Does anyone know the reason why the Quran isnt written in the order it was revealed? Did the Prophet tell his followers to record it in a different way or did someone else decide? How was the final order decided?
Any info would be apprieciated -

t take it that people are hostile or sarcastic (eventhough I saw no sarcasm in Adleys responce)...If someone doesn`t want to answer your questions, just keep asking them (there is no such thing as a wrong question).Anyway, the answer is that the current order of verses and chapters was organized according to God`s decree to His prophet before he passed away.
And if We exchange a verse in place of another verse; and God is more aware of what He is revealing; they SayYou are making this up!Alas, most of them do not know. SayThe holy Spirit has sent it down from your Lord with truth, so that those who believe will be strengthened, and as a guidance and good news for those who have submitted.` (16 101-102) -

I was not being sarcastic and your question is perfectly valid.
I answered your question by another question just to get things rolling a bit.
In other words, there is no way that I know that can answer your question regarding the order of revelation.But, let me share you a bit of what I think about this matter.
223 And if you are in doubt as to what We have sent down to Our servant, then bring a chapter like this, and call upon your witnesses other than God if you are truthful.
1113 Or do they Say "He invented it!" Say "Bring ten invented chapters like it, and call on whom you can besides God if you are truthful."
In Surah 2, we are told to produce one chapter that can match the quran. In Surah 11, we are told to produce 10 chapters. By these two verses, I assume (again, just an assumption) that the quran we read today was revealed exactly the way we now know it.
Once again, truly sorry for my earlier post. I didn't mean it to be taken as sarcasm.

Every verses are written when revealed, Muhammad had got the secretary called as katib.
