Forgive me here I am trying to learn about what most if not all of you here believe. To you is ALLAH GOD as in is he then same God I believe in in the Holy Bible. And if so do you believe in Jesus. And if you believe in Jesus what do you see him as. Please if you could answer this and give any other input it would be a great help. Thanks All who reply

      Peace, )

There is only One God, and every religion leads to the same God through different ways. However, for me taking another man as God is just beyond comprehension because even the Bible itself says that God is immortal and can not be seen.

      (1 Timothy 615-16)
"God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see."

Therefore, in agreement with Al Quran and the Gospel, I think Jesus was just a great man whom God gave the responsibility to show the right path to the people of Israel during his period of time.

      (Matthew 1524)
He answered and said, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Moreover, even the Jews can not accept the belief that God turned into a man. This is probably because many passages in the Old Testament make it clear that God is not a man.

      (Numbers 2319)
"God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent."

        Peace Abuja,

The Arabic word Allah (short for Al-ilah) literally means "the god". It is a common concept not a proper name and thus should be translated. This is why Arab Christians also pray to "Allah" (The God).

        the Holy Bible.

There is no such thing as "the Holy Bible". If you read the whole Bible, you will never find in it any statement where it is described as "the Bible", let alone "the Holy Bible". So according to the Bible itself, the description "the Holy Bible" is certainly nothing more than a man made deception or at best naive wishful thinking.

And if so do you believe in Jesus. And if you believe in Jesus what do you see him as. Please if you could answer this and give any other input it would be a great help. Thanks All who reply

I can't speak for others, but I do believe in The God's messengers and as such, I believe in the message that Jesus brought through the examples of his life and what he promoted. Believing in a messenger means believing in the message not in the person. Unfortunately, most Christians ignore the example of Jesus and instead worship Jesus. All Christians know that this is certainly not the example of Jesus, since they all admit that Jesus never worshipped himself.

        Peace,

        Ayman

There's a very important lesson to be learned in these 2 seemingly simple sentences, Larry, please take note and contemplate on them. )

The same applies to some sunnis/shias who worship muhammad, or buddhists who worship the buddha... etc.

            Salaam Zenje,

or buddhists who worship the buddha

Err... not all of them. Ask Rhadamanthus (a member here as well, who is one of my best friends) and he'll tell you why.
The Buddhists who worship Buddha in Buddhism is pretty much like the Sunni/Shi'ah in Islam.
The Buddhist who bother to actually read the Buddha's teachings will realize just how "unskillful" it is to worship a human, even The Buddha. ;D

I seek refuge in The God The Almighty Creator from satan the rejected.
              As salamu alaykum wr wb.
              Respectfully.

Allah is God, just said and written in Arabic language.
Of course, you have to understand that Christians define a little different (wrong) then Muslims do.

Christians say that God is a human being or that He appeared in a human form inorder to releave the human race of their sins and that he has a child.

Needles to say, God The Almoghty Creator, is NOT a human being, did NOT take human form, is NOT Jesus and has NO child.
Why? Because in order to have a child, you need a wife and God has NO wife and doesn't need anything, let alone a human being.

Christians say that mary gave birth to God. This is so wrong it is clear to a 7-year-old. Why? Here's why If Mary gave birth to god, wouldn't she have to be a god herself?????

The Almighty God, Creator of the Worlds, The Most Merciful, The Most powerful, doesn't need anything, did not die and is not human. For more information about The Almighty God The Most High, The Most Wise Creator of The Worlds, check this

                Peace be upon you Abuja,

My position is as follows. There is one Creator whom we describe as The God "Al - Ilah". Many cultures have used different descriptions of the One unseen intelligence that manifests the World. There is no need to dispute about so called names. It is best to come to a common agreement that we all come from one and the same Creator.

Regarding Jesus, Yes, I believe in the METAPHOR. I take his story as a lesson, not literal, as I take all the stories of those in the past who can never be verified. The guidance is in the SPIRITUAL LESSONS.

Jesus was a symbol of the WILL of man, of God's SUN (not son).

Yes, I am aware, that's why I put 'some' at the beginning, I guess I should have repeated it again. But thanks for pointing it out.

Precisely, if your God is difference to Allah, we must be different shape in bone and flesh.

Taurah taught you to belive only one God only,
                    2 Kings 17 37
and the statutes and the ordinances, and the law and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods

                    John 8 41
Ye do the works of your father. They said unto him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father, `even' God.

And if so do you believe in Jesus. And if you believe in Jesus what do you see him as.
Yersus is prophet who did everything like other prophets to save men from devotion to other gods - as Allah hates dualism in surenderness. He orders men to devote only to Him, no one should be His competition in surenderness.

Yesus is not God beause he can create nothing, not even to stop wars of religion.

We have been taught that who believes in God, He will save us, will it be true if only lips of service i.e. no actions made by us that reflect Yesus' character, or abide to God's laws? Muslim should not be regarded as Muslim too if he neglect Allah's laws. The Taurah Law is similarly to Al Quran Law. Only Paul who dared to over ruled Yesus' authorithy as the Judge of nation by making Taurah law void.

Please if you could answer this and give any other input it would be a great help. Thanks All who reply

Moslem and Christian comes from the same father i.e. Abraham. Nothing difference of of the basic teachs between both. Even there were always cooperation between Issac's son and Ismael's sons. When Yesus born he was supported by King from the south, they were tribes of Kedar and Nebayot sons of Ismael. When Muhammad sworn as prophets he was suppoerted by anshor (chrsitians from Medina).

The question is why the present christians and moslems keep fighting ? Do you we forget that we come come from same father Abraham. Why not us to follow Yesus and Muhammad to make people in unity to build Allah's Kingdom in earth together?

I really like this line in an answer ti my post and I think all need to read it. And this is 100000% Correct. If the GOD any of us believe in is different then we must then be different in shape and in bone and flesh. I will be opening a new topic about this also please read it it will be titled Our GOD.
