How free are women in terms of marriage?

Peace be upon all,
I would like to know how free women are when it comes to marriage issue. How much control does a parent hold on their daughter upon marriage? Does the girl have total freedom to disagree with her parent?s decision? Can parents arrange their daughter?s marriage without her agreement?
Can anyone answer these questions from Quranic perspective?
