    Salaams,

The sacrificial camels we have made for you as among the symbols from Allah in them is (much) good for you then pronounce the name of Allah over them as they line up (for sacrifice) when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat ye thereof, and feed such as (beg not but) live in contentment, and such as beg with due humility thus have We made animals subject to you, that ye may be grateful.

AND NEW TRANSusing lanes and qd.

    2236
And family lineage We have made them for you from the symbols (of) Allah you have in them much good so remember/ be admonished by the characteristics of Allah in respect to/ upon their beneficence/wealth then when you are down on your sides eat/partake/seek help thereof and feed, be content and normalise thus we have made them to be of service to you that you may be grateful.

    2237
Never reaches Allah their gains through hawkish ness nor their good fortune/prosperity but reaches Him the piety from you (all) thus He made them of service to you that you may magnify Allah for what He guided you and give glad tidings to doers of good.

Another place where BADAN is used but makes more sense as family lineage,

Naja = to be saved/ delivered/ go free.
Badana = Body without spirit/ Family lineage.

1090 ????.now (you believe) while you refused to believe before and where one of the evil-doers.
1091 so this day we shall save you with your family that you may be to those who come after you a sign and verily many among mankind of our signs (are) heedless.

    Gods Blessings on all.

      Salam Simple,

I was always wondering the significant of camels as a sign/symbol from Allah. Your explanation makes sense.

      God Blesses.

      Salam

        Simple,

.... apologies to reopen an old thread.

You are suggesting "BADANA" could mean "FAMILY LINEAGE" rather than "CATTLES".

The verse 2236 clearly says "eat from them" (minha = from them). "from them" is missing from your proposed translation.

The verse 2236 clearly says "mention the name Allah name on them" (aleha = on them). "on them" has been replacted with "on their wealth" in your proposed translation.

Please provide word to word translation in order to drive your point home. I know it is time consuming but it would be worth the effort for people like me.
