As many already may know the modifying word such as an adjective or an adverb follows the modified word in Arabic.
e.g.
We place shields around their minds, to prevent them from understanding it, and deafness in their ears. And when you preach your Lord, using the Quran alone (Qurani Wahdahoo) , they run away in aversion.
Indeed, it is a glorious Quran. (Quranun Majeedun)
etc...
idea The problem is during translations descriptive words are often split from the modified word and we can miss vital clues.
Look at this one and there might have been a clue staring at us all along,
You shall observe the Contact Prayer (Salat) when the sun declines from its highest point at noon, as it moves towards sunset. You shall also observe the Quran at dawn. the Quran at dawn is witnessed. (Not a perfect translation by all means)
In Arabic
Aqimi alssalata lidulooki alshshamsi ila ghasaqi allayli wa qurana alfajri inna qurana alfajri kana mashhoodan
Ironically one translation
1778 Establish regular prayers - at the sun's decline till the darkness of the night, and THE MORNING prayer and READING for the prayer and reading in the morning carry their testimony.
Here the best translation is the Morning Reading as opposed to the reading in the morning. Because the modified word is the "reading i.e. Quran" the modifier is the "al-fajr i.e. Morning".
From what I am understanding is the link between S-L-W is more tangible than one may have thought, for some here this may be old news or it might have escaped attention. But for someone like me who is verifying "Salat" (1736) it is an exciting break through. I see the link between the time and reading is much more tangible. Its reinforces the "timed book= Kitabun Markum" again!
