I suggest that we have a Quranic convention for our respective continents until we can have a world-wide one.

In my opinion Islamic version of the Council of Nicea is a quite good idea. And if it would ever happen hopefully the result would be that the core of Islam must be Al Quran, while none of other sources should be considered divine whatsoever.

          Peace jankren

well i dont think its such a good idea. I think council of nicea killed the original christianism and freedom existing in the religion... islam actually had enough of that

            Care to elaborate?

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

              Peace,

Here is the elaboration. Basically we need to get together and it would be good if we could come together in our respective contintents or countries and put together our beliefs and clearly display them to each other. We can then begin discussion on them if we want to but the main purpose is to establish bonds with each other and expose these various Quranic points of view with tolerance. We all agree that the Quran should be our only guidance and that is enough. We can have different opinions on how to practice the Quran and it is important that we all be exposed to all of these opinions in an organized way. Therefore, I think if we had a Quranist convention where the banner is the Quran is our guidance, as we all profess this, and where we display our different opinions of the Quran in displays and with booklets and such things. As well as having times where each opinion can be expressed in front of a group of people, a presentation of these beliefs (power point, speeches etc.) and if people want to they can come togher in a room or two to discuss these Quranic points of view.

I think this is important to materialize what has been up until now internet communication. I understand that there are Quranists world wide and that we all can't meet each other right now in every place. But that is not the point. The point is to start on a local level and if we can make it an international thing.

We #1 need to know exactly how each of us think and secondly we need to know each other and be united as Quranists Muslims.

              Godbless,
              Anwar
