    Very funny zenje,

After I told my parents I converted to Islam they were shocked, about a few months later I started to grow a beard for hunting season, and they flipped out, they were more scared of my beard than my relgion, weird how that works hey,

You read my mind TAJ. They're doing it, right here in the US. That's the amazing part, that they want to and they have been. Otherwise pretty much almost every tribe in Africa and some other third world countries live that way full time. Perhaps out of 'no choice'.

                peace salim, all,

For me, its a fine balance between "time/effort in" and "reward/progress out".

For example, if I learn self-sustainability and put it into practice, that is going to take me time and effort. The question I will ask is is this "time/effort in" worth it? Could I have spent it in an alternative way which resulted in a better "reward/progress out"?

At the moment, I am not convinced of the "reward/progress out". Of course, it depends on situation. If I was thinking about building a community, then yes it would be worth it.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

It's been a while, but there's still a few people in rural areas doing it for themselves.

                  Peace
