After rigorous discussions, rational though and employing the scientific method as to what are the meanings of salat, zakat, hajj, kaaba , majidul haram, safa and marva, etc i believe now its time to come to a consensus regarding these terms one by one. I openend this poll for this purpose. GOD Bless! -

Is allowed for you nights of the fasts consorting with your women they hold social intercourse with you and you hold social intercourse with them knew Allah that were deceiving yourselves so he bestowed repentance upon you and forgave you so now you can associate with them and seek what ordained Allah for you and support and permeate as until becomes distinct to you the first gleam of dawn from twilight at sunset of the going aside from the right path then complete fasts till (it?s) decadance and not associate with them while you confine to the submissions these limits of Allah so not approach them thus makes clear Allah His signs to mankind that they become God-Fearing.Days of fasting are i think a type of punishment - but its good for us as it changes our very behaviours also.

I used to disagree with the extreme heat idea. But now I do agree with it. However, there had to be some reconciliation with grammatical features. The only way it works is if shah-ru ramadaana is read s shahru-rramadaana and understood as shah-run ramadaanan, which would equal shah-run saifan, and the alladhee has to refer to the Quran, and the hi in feehi to God/or the month. Therefor shahruramadaana (A month of during heat (literally heat-wise) alladhee unzila feehi al-quraanu (what was revealed in it, was this reading (the Quran).
So definitely I agree that we should fast for 30 days during our summer (extremely/consistently hot) seasons. And if we have to suffer through this to complete this task then we can make it up by feeding someone in need for each day of fasting we miss.
As for a month being 30 days I've discussed this in other posts and shown how the Quran consistenly relates a month (shahrun) to 30 days.
The one case where it would seem it doesn't is not equalling the daily fasting to it's compensation but mentioning compensation for another act (being when separate from out wives out of enmity and animosity, even violently)Godbless,

Pretty much any 30 days during summer. For people in tropical regions it is not always hot there are hotter seasons than others, especially in desert regions. But if it is the same heat all year long, well they can pick 30 days to fast and do that. However if you don't agree fast whenever you think a 30 days that applies to Ramadan is. The Quran in the end says don't follow what you have no knowledge of.
I'm looking into Shabbir's article however, there were some interesting things mentioned there.
As of now this is the most firm and logic stance I've seen. And I don't mean that just because it is my stance.Godbless,

Also there are more meanings that are no expounded upon in the above first post. Futhermore, ramadun and ramadaanun are two separate words with slightly different meaning. We are not talkinig about ramada but ramadaan. Lastly ramada has more meaning that what was posted above. The author of that post has posted one meaning and not the rest. Please refer to the reference in lane for more clarification.

As for the poll. I think it means ramadanun means extreme or constant heat and I think the verse can be clearly referring to a month during a season of extreme or constant heat. However, I do not agree with the logic of most who take this stance, as they totally disregard case endings. The only way this works is if we double up the raa of ramadan (which indicates a shaddah being over that ra, however such written tajweed indications are often left out on more obviously known cases so there is really no issue) and if we understand the ending a of ramadaana as a fathatain indicating the condition of of the shah-run (nasbul-haalati). The interchanging of fathah tanween (written as both alif and single fath-hah within the Quranic text) with fat-hatain is common and can easily be understood.
There is however a clear and reasonable interpretation of ramadaan as a name which can only be Quranically reconciled by using a luni-solar calendar that does not add an extra month. There was supposedly one in use before the one used by the Arabs which added in an extra month per year. It apparently just added 11 days but I have not figured out how that mechanism would correctly align with the lunar cycles.
