Why are people writing very long replies?
-
Salamun alaikum,
I've been reading a lot of threads and I noticed that some of the reply are lengthy. It's very hard to read and also difficult to digest. I'm not here to criticise people's approach to writing, but can we make it a bit more specific, to the point and concise. Just my two cent.
Anyway, I've been reading a lot of the discussions about 'Bakkah', which is very interesting! I've even read the "Mankind's Worst and Biggest Conspiracy, Mekka is not Bakka" article. I've even started to think that Sinai is a sacred place now, where that so called 'Bakkah' is located, though I know some people in this forum think it's something metaphorical rather than physical.

Anyway, I hope people start to write in short segments rather than a long article because I always lost my motivation to read half the way. Sorry for whining.
Peace.

yup, both harry and loiuse agree. we have both noticed that, well, it is like asking somone the time and they go into the whole history of watch/clockmaking.
why can't folks be like Tay and Layth. Tay and Layth are our most favorite posters. They say what they mean and mean what they say. When they say something, it means something. Rest of ya are all hopeless and showoffs flapping your gums and/or your fingers. Especially this Tanveer and this Phoenix guy.

Peace Bro Ahmadazwa
yea i remember someone had that as their signature "i don't read long posts" hehehehe
i agree extremely lengthy posts that go on and on make me cross-eyed. lol
just on a side note dont just take anything you read on here at face-value. there's alot of b.s. on here that people pick out of their as*es and paste it for the world to see.
so when something doesn't smell right, just walk away. if it looks like b.s., and smells like b.s., then its probably b.s.

I may be a hopeless showoff, but I do mean what I say.
Ahmad,
I may post long replies sometimes, but that just has to do with the depth of the topic that's being discussed. if more than one issue is being discussed, or the issue has mulitiple facets, or I'm trying to explain one of my hopeless ideas and I think I need to be as clear as possible to avoid misunderstandings. But I have to tell you that the posts look longer than they actually are. It is always hard to read about something that doesn't interest us. If it's something you care about, it won't be hard to read several pages without knowing it. Also, there are some people are just better writers than others, which makes reading their posts a pleasure, but then there are some hopeless showoffs who don't say things so articulately but they might be trying to say something very good. If you've joined this forum in hope of learning something, then I'd suggest that you try your best to read everyone's posts no matter how long they are. -
hehehe good stuff ;D
