Im wondering what is the reason behind God's command to Moses which orders him and his followers to invade Canaan aka the Holy Land?

So nobody has the answer to what could possibly be the reason behind God's command to the Israelites to wage war against the Canaanites?

Anyway, I have found the answer from a Christian. He said that according to the book of Exodus, the reason was because the Canaanites were a wicked people.

However, this leads me to another doubt. Is the Bible sometimes necessary to explain certain events mentioned in Al Quran?
