Is there more war than peace?
-
Peace all,
Looking at the present day status and historical status of mankind's *temperment", it's easy to see the constant bloodshed and mischief we've caused. But on the grand scale, are we more at war than at peace? I mean if you take a wholistic view of the planet, can you honestly say that there are more people, now and before, fighting each other than those who want no part of the fight? And what does this say about humanity in general?
Looking forward to your answers.
Peace,

I dont think its that were at war most of the time, its that war is more recorded than achivements during peacetime. Ever heard of the Pax Romana? Not many people have, it was a 100 year period of peace in the roman empire. But I bet the civil war between ceasar and pompe is known by many.

During 'Pax Romana' I believe Rome was still engaged in minor wars mostly against its 'barbarian' neighbors. Moreover, the relative peace was regional, not global. Therefore, I think it is safe to say that there was NEVER a time when there was absolutely no war going on in every corner of the world.

there is more peace than war, just look around you,and the people, not all are fighting.
the thing is,as human behavior i think there is more tention/war withing than peace, lots of people hate another group or themselves and want war but are not currently doing it or just cowardly hate is what they got.the human its too violent lately,it is a benefit for the new world order, they create all the hate instead of creating the peace, their tools are countless,tv,movies, video game, cartoons, ect.just feeds the population with it,specially targeting young people so they become more immune to hate and THEIR kids will be more violent(permitting them use the same violence resources as they used, and they come more violent everyday) and so on,everytime more violent.

What does it mean to corrupt the earth and cause bloodshed?
Is the soldier fighting a war the only one causing bloodshed? How about the politicians who put him there? How about the people who elected the politicians? How about the company that makes the steel that gets used in tanks? How about the people who didn't object to tyranny? How about everyone who provides the money to buy all this? How many cents on each dollar we make are we ultimately paying to support corrupting the earth and causing bloodshed?
All the dominos add up. Just because we don't pull a trigger, it doesn't mean that we are not making a small contribution to corruption and bloodshed. May the god have mercy on us.
Peace,
Ayman

Peace all,
I'd say that mankinds natural inclination is towards peace, that being the case since the time of Adam. However, naturally, limited to nature, the human being is a very unjust and thus oppresive being, especially the male since in his creation Adam is closer to nature than his female partner.
Limiting oneselve to nature, I see the human being ignoring the ''ruuh'', the ruuh-allah. It is with the consciousness, the remembering, the linking to allah, the recognition in the need of guidance that humanity can orient itself and move towards peace. Our connection with the ''ruuh'' is our gateway outside the limits of nature. The only real and sustained historical peace movement is in my view one which goes through prophecy and which leads us today to the quran.
Ultimately peace will prevail as the Lord's plan is certain. Such peace cannot be limited to a city, a region or likewise but will have to be global, it is the logical historical next step. From what elevated foundation? The proper questionning should bring about the proper answers.
