    Peace

I have and still do take the devil for my companion because I am not always hip to God's rules. The devils are the opposers and I admit to that.

        Salamun alaykum

The more verses I read about The Jinn the more I am convinced that Jinn are Men like us , what other Conclusion can you draw if they ( The Jinn ) have hearts , Eyes, Ears ( Intellectual Faculties ) but choose not to use them ? I just kept coming back to this Verse whenever I think of The Jinn.

7179 - Many are the Jinns and men we have made for Hell They have hearts wherewith they understand not, eyes wherewith they see not, and ears wherewith they hear not. They are like cattle. Nay more misguided For they are heedless of warning.

A bit tired of the all the different Theories thrown up about The Jinn , surely some of the People in the forum have some simple and logical Definition of It ? The only Jinn ( spirit ) I know for sure is......the One in the Bottle , so please Wise People in the forum , give us your Clear Definition of a Jinn .

        Thank you and God Bless

okay we know that jinns are humans.
my question is how can iblis have soldiers
2695 As well as all the soldiers of Satan.

was satan(iblis) one of the angels?
in christianity he is known as the fallen angel
1530 Thus, all of the angels yielded.
1531 Except for Satan, he refused to be with those who yielded.

            Salam Nerspi

Is it not a Quranic Fact that malaikats have No Desires other than to Glorify Allah ? Iblis on the other hand had or has Desires and Egos as well as Needs , so IMHO Iblis ( Jinn ) is = Human ;D

            Cheers

                  peace arnold

in your book, angels are referred to as powers of nature.
now as i understand that means angels are not beings made from actual light and wings but something else, powers of nature.
and in the quran they talk, so what i was wondering what are these powers of nature?
could you name them? are they wind, rain... or something else?
                  i don't know.

                  peace

                    Salaam Nerspi,

Nowhere does the Quran say they are made out of light, nor does it mention they have wings.

Excerpt from my collection-book 'Short Articles'

                    http//ammusharraf.bulldoghome.com/pages/ammusharraf_bulldoghome_com/Islam/SHORTARTICLES.pdf

You have this very misunderstood verse

351 All Praise is due to Allah, the Originator=fatiri of all Highs and their Lows, Who appoints His angels as message-bearers having wings=ajnihatin two, three and four. (Many of the angels, the physical laws in the Universe, have more than one function). He increases in creation what He Will. For, Allah is the Appointer of due measure of all things, and He is Able to do all things.

To understand the complete meaning of this verse, we must look at the words used. Allah is mentioned here with one of His Attributes, Fatir. This comes from the root fatara, which means to cleave or break, also it means bring forth and to create something new or for the first time. Scholar Muhammed Ali believes it refers to the creation of matter at the BigBang, which I agree with. As the BigBang was cleaving/disunite the merged energy and creating it into something new, matter. This is exactly the 2 meanings of the word fatara . Also from the same root, is the word fitrah, meaning compensition or originial substance, and thus refers to that all creation had the same origin of compensition.
This is why one of the understood meanings of Allah's name Fitrah is The Gift to know Allah through which He created Mankind. As fitrah, the original substance of mankind connects directly with the Maker of the fitrah. When this is all understood, then the true concept of the rest of the verse will become clear.

The word jiniha or janah, is normally translated with wing. But this in no way refers to a real wing like that of a bird. Janaha in Classic Arabic refers to power, as an old Arab saying goes Huwa maqsoes al-janah meaning, his wing is cut refering that that person has no strenght or ability and even that such a person is infertile. Ajnihatun coming from the same root, also means Wing of an Army or Shelter or Protection.

So this shows that the Malikah mentioned in this verse has multiple powers and abilities in the creation.

351 All Praise is due to Allah, the Originator=fatiri of all Highs and their Lows, Who appoints His Malikah=Lawbearers/Ones in Control and Authority as message-bearers having abilities of control=ajnihatin two's, three's and four's. He increases in creation what He Will. For, Allah is the Appointer of due measure of all things, and He is Able to do all things.

So which Malikah are referred to in this verse then?

The verse already starts with the Attribute of Fatir, the Originator of all energy of the Creation. And in the last part of the verse it says 'He increases in creation what He Will'. So these Malikah are Laws that control the growth process of the Creation. During the BigBang, innumerable laws sprung forth that determined the flow of the energy and guided it into matter and magnetic forces and other forces. So it are these Laws, for example the Planck Constant, that are the Malikah as told of in this verse.

This will explain for example this verse

3975 And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne of the Almightys Supreme Control extolling their Lords Glory and Praise. And all will be judged aright. And they will say in concert, All Praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. (Allahs physical Laws in the Universe will help the guided mankind establish the Divine Rule on earth, as it is in the Cosmos. And the Divine System in the lives of mankind will make them truly see that all Praise indeed belongs to the Giver of such Benevolent Guidance).

Where the Malikah that hold the Throne of Supreme Control, are the Forces of Creation, that are so precise, they are the proofs of His Power and Glory, and thus Praise Him. Einstein's intelliegence was shown through his theories, and thus praise his ability, the same is with Allah, where His precise Laws show His Glory, and are thus a representation of praising His Abilities and Power.

Most people had their own made-up concept of Angels that they inherited from ancient Babylonian myhtology

3440 The Day He gathers all people He will ask the angels, "Did they worship you? They will say 3441 They will answer, "Glory is Yours! You are our Master, not them. Nay, they used to worship the invisible guises of their selfish desire=jinn=not seen. Most of them were believers therein.

People were worshipping their own illusion of what Angels were, this is why they are called jinn, not seen, as they do not exist.

                      Salam nerspi,
Depends how you define the word "talk" ... "talking" in my opinion is used allegorically; similar to the notion "your actions speak for themselves".

                        peace

                        another question comes to mind.
                        what about in
1917 She took to a barrier which separated her from them, so We sent Our spirit to her, and he took on the shape of a human being in all similarity.
                        019.017
YUSUFALI She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

who is this spirit or angel mentioned here?

also, in 2931 When Our Messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said "We are indeed going to destroy the people of this township for truly they are (addicted to) crime."
2933 And when Our Messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account, and felt himself powerless (to protect) them but they said "Fear thou not, nor grieve we are (here) to save thee and thy following, except thy wife she is of those who lag behind.

                        who exactly were these messengers?

                          Peace Nerspi

why aren't you hip to God's rules?

There are different reasons. Mainly due to lack of discipline or lack of will to be disciplined. I am not always against the rules, but I'm not always following them all either.

and why would you take the devil for your companion?

This happens when we are averse to the ways of God and in denial. It happens when we make crooked and turn things from their right natures. Sort of like what Morgoth did with the orcs. ;D
