Basically what you are saying is this

Without god nothing would exist, therefore since something does exist there has to be atleast one god.
However, there exists no proof of more than one god.
So to conclude More than or less than god is false, whilst one god is logical.

There is an alternative way of looking at God

Where do the good qualities in us come from?

All believe the good qualities/behaviour is of benefit to mankind if we adapt them.

Where does this belief come from?

either by deduction by us over time and thus teaching the same to new generations or
By influence of something.

In either case it is the belief in the good qualities/behaviour that is also the belief in God (the attributes).

So whether God exists or not whether people say He is one or one hundred (I believe He does) as long as people have the belief that The Good Qualities/Behaviour does benefit mankind and that is the only thing that benefits mankind then they do believe in One God. And this is what the Quran wants from Man.

I think you do understand my point of view very well, its just that I would say that there is no proof of more than one God - which can be said to be becuase there are no other gods to have any proof for their existence.
