    Salam.

How do we earn Paradise, exactly, i mean, can someone explain this to me, like, step by step?
I know how to earn Paradise but i would like to get confirmation and i'd also like to see, if i was right about something or wrong.

Now, the way is see it, it's like this we all believe in The One and The Only God, The Most High, we pray to Him, pay charity, fast in the month of Ramadan, do the Hajj, we don't kill, lie, steal or commit fornication, we don't use bad language, we are patient, we are nice to people, we don't start wars or conflicts, we forgive, we do what we are told and avoid what we are told to avoid, correct?

    Am i right so far?

Okay, now, would i be correct, if i said that if i fed the homeless person or the poor or if i adopted the orphan or did any other good deed for the sake of God, to please God, to act according to The Quran, to obey God, would i be correct, if i said i would earn Heaven?

If yes, would i be correct, if i said that if i did opposite of all this, that i'd earn HellFire?

I mean, we do good deeds so that we can have more good deeds then the bad deeds in order to achieve Paradise and avoid Hell, right?

I'm not expecting a thanks or a smile or a receit from the homeless person, after i give him/her the food. I expect the result of that deed, which i consider to be good, to be Heaven, that's why i strive to do as much good as humanly possible.

    Any thoughts, comments?
Correct me, if i made a mistake anywhere.

    Peace.

      Peace Alen, all,

We have been created to serve The God by doing good deeds while believing in Him and the Last Day. The prime reason to serve The God should be His love, not just to "earn" heaven. The heaven part is the automatic by product of serving The God in the right way.

2165 And from among the people are some who take other than God as equals to Him, they love them as they love God; but those who believe love God strongly; and when those who were wicked see the retribution, they will see that all power belongs to God, and that God is severe in retribution.

We should do good deeds and help others out of love for The God for His sake.

2177 Piety is not to turn your faces towards the east and the west, but piety is one who believes in God and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Scripture, and the prophets, and he gives money out of love to the relatives, and the orphans, and the needy and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and to free the slaves; and he honors the connection, and he contributes towards betterment; as well as those who keep their pledges when they make a pledge, and those who are patient in the face of good and bad and when in despair. These are the ones who have been truthful, and they are the righteous.

We should be kind to others and do good deeds and be righteous so The God will love us

2195 And spend in the cause of God, but do not throw your resources to disaster. And do kindness, for God loves those who do kindness.

331 Say "If you love God then follow me so God will love you and forgive your sins." God is Forgiver, Merciful.

The ultimate success is achieving God's love by loving Him

554 O you who believe, whoever from among you turns away from His system, then God will bring a people whom He loves and they love Him; humble towards the believers, proud towards the rejecters; they strive in the cause of God and do not fear to be blamed by those who blame. This is God's grace, He bestows it upon whom He wills; God is Encompassing, Knowledgeable.

Once The God loves you, you will receive all the bonuses and rewards including heaven automatically

        I like that part. )

I might add, We do good deeds because it's in our 'nature'.

        Peace

          Peace

I totally agree with tanveer about love

I think those people who are in a mindset of doing osmehting to get somethng are perhaps having remnants of sunnism still inside their heads...correct me if I am wrong but werent you sunni before Alen?

I think we had this discussion before and I told you the same thing as tanveer

I guess perhaps you are looking fo others to justify your views Only God knows..but it is good to verify and I agree with tanveer it is out of love not vain desire to gain in the next life...doing things to get somethin is having an ulterior motive and perhaps a sense of greed to gain in the next life

we should love not be vain and greedy in this life or the next life God willing

            Salam.

Amanda, even when i was a sunni, i wasn't sunni because i questioned sunnism and hadeeth every step of the way. I just didn't know where to start. I guess i started here on Free Minds Forum, huh?

But i do agree on the issue we do good deeds for love, not to be greedy.

            Peace. jedi

In that sense I GUESS THOSE WHO EARN PARADISE AS A MUSLIM ARE THOSE WHO LOVE MOST, RIGHT?
