429 O you who believe, do not consume your money between you unjustly, except through a trade which is mutually agreed by you. And do not kill yourselves; God is Merciful towards you.
430 And whoever does so out of animosity and transgression, We will cast him to a Fire; and this for God is very easy.

so if someone decides to kill himself for some other reason then animosity or transgression, would he still go to hell?

      Salaam

What other reason would someone commit suicide?? Please answer that and we will take it from there.....in my opinion I don't think there is any excuse for committing suicide.

well lets say someone's lost a child or is homeless or is wrongfully accused...
and that someone would much rather die and be in heaven, but God will decide that.
but that person wants to leave this place and lets say he/she kills him/herself, would he/she go to hell?

          Salam.

I think in The Quran we can read that whoever kills a believer, goes to HellFire.
Gotta read The Quran very carefully.

          Peace, brother.

            Peace Nerspi

We'd all rather be in heaven (right?). And I don't think any of us know's for sure what God will decide. I see where you're coming from in that God is so compassionate and would probably be saddened by that person's plight and perhaps go easy on them. But suicide and/or murder aren't like any other sins, once they're done, they're done. There's no chance for redemption, no chance to turn a wrong into a right. That's it, DONE. Why play with that?

Plus, whether that person believes it or not, there are people who will be left here on earth who will be beside themselves with sadness in losing that person.

p.s. Did you see the cool movie Tay put up for us? I'll try to find it and put it here for you. Here it is

                peace

why if they keep you in a prison and they torture you everyday,or a building is burning behind you and u rather jump and end it less painfully,of course this is not easy to do,some always hope for salvation till the last minute.
but by transgressing means for example you are retiring from life, backing off, giving up which God does not like.

there are so many problems with society that it looks like humanity its auto destructing itself,i always saw it that way, because trying to understand why a 12 year old suicide its hard...they have even made it a trend like the "emos" '(

we can never say if a suicide was forgivable or not, thats God work...

                peace

what about homeless people? they get up every morning thinking "am i gonna eat today?" and yet they don't give up.
would it be wrong if they killed themselves?

well there should be something in the Qur'an about suicide. such thing happens and we should know is it forgivable in some situations.

                  peace

The only exception in my view is being in a psychological condition that is beyond human control... God has given ample of resources for us not to find an excuse for asking for miracles or for an escape route.
