Why not Pig Meat?
-
Why do Jews and Muslims avoid pig meat? We know that in the Bible it is listed among the "unclean meats" (along with other unclean meats). But the pig in particular, is offensive. Why is this so? We know scientifically that the parasitic worms in pigs are particularly dangerous to humans- they may end up in your brain! Pig meat is also very hard to digest.
Some Christians have understood the undesirability of pig meat, but overall they are yet to catch up with the Jews and Muslims.
Spiritual science tells us more about the history of the pig. A pig is not a boar- they are quite different. The pig is also a very intelligent creature. Look at the back of you hand and see how close it resembles pigskin. Have you heard that folk who have indulged in cannibalism say that human flesh tastes like pork?
The pig is a creature of a mixed evolution- you can read about bestiality in the Bible and realise one of its results was the pig. Maybe genetics will prove more on this point- we know that pig organs have already been used in in transplants and for insulin.
It is evil to eat pig meat because of this. The results are indeed dire.

Peace,
I do not know if you are muslim or christian or non-at -all, but I have an theory as to why. First, in the bible jesus, sent possessed spirits from out of a human >D, and village and into a herd of pigs, where they ran and fell to their death. The idea I think is both, spiritual and scientifically sound. Pigs, were one of the symbols, that the prophet Jesus left behind, that evil can be driven out of humans and into them, it makes a statement, why not a cow or a sheep..also, pigs really are scientifically proven to retain microbes of bacteria and worms yuck, that do not die during the process of death, and do not die even at cooked temperature. o There are numerous studies to prove this and I can certainly find you a link, but the point is Pigs, are not for human comsumption. There purpose is only known by god confused, as is many animals and insects we humans do not eat. It would be I think, a insult..to eat a pig in front of the prophet jesus, after what he did to save the souls of the people, so why would we eat it now? Its symbolic I know, but so are many things about life, this god shows us, as he says in the stars and the sky.
Just my opinion,
peace

Well yes Honor,
The evil spirits were indeed cast into the herd of swine. This is also an indication of their closeness to humanity. Do we invite evil spirits into us when we eat pork? I think this is the possibility- apart from the parasites etc. There is one good thing the pig can do. They have an incredible digestion and can eat almost anything. We can use the methane from their excrement - and I know someone who did that. Of course it is very explosive!
