    Peace Bro JK

In my early days as God alone/ Quran only muslim , this ayat was taken to mean ( The Angels Wings 2 , 3 and 4 ) as a mathemathical code for the Raka?hs -[ So we can justify doing 2,3 or 4 Raka'ahs for the appropriate Prayers . Long since I discarded the Ritual Salat . ( I do Pray and Meditate though but without the Ruku'and Sujud ).

    Cheers

      2125;
"Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).

We have rendered the shrine (the Ka`aba) a focal point for the people, and a safe sanctuary. You may use Abraham's shrine as a prayer house. We commissioned Abraham and Ismail "You shall purify My house for those who visit, those who live there, and those who bow and prostrate."

Raku and Sajood are mentioned in these verses; Millions of people Prayed to the God before Bukhari or other Hadith books, therefore Raku and Sajood is not a Bukhari or Hadith product, it is genuine.

        Peace Raj-ah

You could Put together all the Verses of the Quran with Bow and Prostrate in them , and I guarantee you won't be able to Draw a Reasonably Safe Conclusion about the Literal Meaning of those 2 Words . Certainly not Literally Bowing and Prostrating .

Alternatively , you could read Various articles on Salat in this Site and make up your own mind ? by the way it is easy finding words, Verses using Concordance . As for the Verses you cited, I have been to Meccah twice and Prayed before The "Bird Cage" that is also Known as "Maqam Ibrahim" . Incidentally , this so Called "Maqam Ibrahim" was so supposed to be Inside the Kaaba , that is if you believe the Quran 396-397 . You could do well reading other Translations for the 2125 or Research your own meanings Using Root method and others .

        Cheers and God Bless

I don't think the wings are literal.

tenderness does not literally have wings.

1588 turn, not thine eyes towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those . And neither grieve over those , but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers
          26215 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee;

            Peace all,

We are going off topic here but by the way there is no "wa" between "alrukka3i" and "alssujoodi" in 2125, which is another evidence against it being a physical act in that particular verse, although there is evidence of physical sujood in verses like 17107, 17109, 2724, and 4137. Thus a better translation of 2125 would be

2125 And We have made the sanctuary/house to be a model/reward for the people and a security. And you shall take from site/station of Abraham a place for connection. And We had entrusted to Ibraheem and Ismaeel "You shall purify My sanctuary/house for the visitors/passers by, the devoted/remaining, and the submissive humble (humbly submitting)".

As far as 351 is concerned, it is not "two, and three, and four" but "twos, and threes, and fours" which could mean groups; it is not "angels" but "controllers"; and wings could be idiomatic for ability to transport from one place to another through space (? teleportation ?)

351 Praise be to God, Initiator of the heavens and the Earth; maker of the controllers as messengers with wings, twos, and threes, and fours. He increases in the creation as He wishes. God is able to do all things.

Thus The God has made controllers who have the ability of teleportation/transportation through space in groups of two, groups of three, or groups of four. The God knows best.

                  Salaam Aleikum Jonny,

You have this very misunderstood verse

351 All Praise is due to Allah, the Originator=fatiri of all Highs and their Lows, Who appoints His angels as message-bearers having wings=ajnihatin two, three and four. (Many of the angels, the physical laws in the Universe, have more than one function). He increases in creation what He Will. For, Allah is the Appointer of due measure of all things, and He is Able to do all things.

To understand the complete meaning of this verse, we must look at the words used. Allah is mentioned here with one of His Attributes, Fatir. This comes from the root fatara, which means to cleave or break, also it means bring forth and to create something new or for the first time. Scholar Muhammed Ali believes it refers to the creation of matter at the BigBang, which I agree with. As the BigBang was cleaving/disunite the merged energy and creating it into something new, matter. This is exactly the 2 meanings of the word fatara . Also from the same root, is the word fitrah, meaning compensition or originial substance, and thus refers to that all creation had the same origin of compensition.
This is why one of the understood meanings of Allah's name Fitrah is The Gift to know Allah through which He created Mankind. As fitrah, the original substance of mankind connects directly with the Maker of the fitrah. When this is all understood, then the true concept of the rest of the verse will become clear.

The word jiniha or janah, is normally translated with wing. But this in no way refers to a real wing like that of a bird. Janaha in Classic Arabic refers to power, as an old Arab saying goes Huwa maqsoes al-janah meaning, his wing is cut refering that that person has no strenght or ability and even that such a person is infertile. Ajnihatun coming from the same root, also means Wing of an Army or Shelter or Protection.

So this shows that the Malikah mentioned in this verse has multiple powers and abilities in the creation.

351 All Praise is due to Allah, the Originator=fatiri of all Highs and their Lows, Who appoints His Malikah=Lawbearers/Ones in Control and Authority as message-bearers having abilities of control=ajnihatin two's, three's and four's. He increases in creation what He Will. For, Allah is the Appointer of due measure of all things, and He is Able to do all things.

So which Malikah are referred to in this verse then?

The verse already starts with the Attribute of Fatir, the Originator of all energy of the Creation. And in the last part of the verse it says 'He increases in creation what He Will'. So these Malikah are Laws that control the growth process of the Creation. During the BigBang, innumerable laws sprung forth that determined the flow of the energy and guided it into matter and magnetic forces and other forces. So it are these Laws, for example the Planck Constant, that are the Malikah as told of in this verse.

This will explain for example this verse

3975 And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne of the Almighty?s Supreme Control extolling their Lord?s Glory and Praise. And all will be judged aright. And they will say in concert, ?All Praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.? (Allah?s physical Laws in the Universe will help the guided mankind establish the Divine Rule on earth, as it is in the Cosmos. And the Divine System in the lives of mankind will make them truly see that all Praise indeed belongs to the Giver of such Benevolent Guidance).

Where the Malikah that hold the Throne of Supreme Control, are the Forces of Creation, that are so precise, they are the proofs of His Power and Glory, and thus Praise Him. Einstein's intelliegence was shown through his theories, and thus praise his ability, the same is with Allah, where His precise Laws show His Glory, and are thus a representation of praising His Abilities and Power.

Most people had their own made-up concept of Angels that they inherited from ancient Babylonian myhtology

3440 The Day He gathers all people He will ask the angels, "Did they worship you?? They will say 3441 They will answer, "Glory is Yours! You are our Master, not them. Nay, they used to worship the invisible guises of their selfish desire=jinn=not seen. Most of them were believers therein.?

People were worshipping their own illusion of what Angels were, this is why they are called jinn, not seen, as they do not exist.

                      Peace bro "Arnold",
Now thts what i call science and ill definitely consdier this. Not only have you related it to the scientific discoveries it made but youve actually made a scientific study of the Arabic language itself and it matched the prior. Yep it definitely makes sense. Now if you could kindly also make a comment on the following
"Is it too much of a wonder that a message should come to you from your Lord, through a man like you, to warn you? Recall that He made you inheritors after the people of Noah, and multiplied your number. Remember GOD's blessings, that you may succeed."
This phrase of the verse in bold implies that Noahs people were the only humans at that time and we multiplied staring from Noah again. Does anyone know about how long the first humans lived in Africa and if there was a flood which destroyed most of them long ago before they were reestablished? If not how would you understand this verse? GOD Bless!
                      GOD Bless!

                        Peace,

I myself have 2 theories on this

                        1. Noah lived 15.000 years ago before the great flood of the Pole shift took place. The recording of the Pole Shift flood can be seen in all traditions on Earth. 15.000 years ago, the land above the magnetic poles was different. Antartica was positioned higher and had a warm climate. This explains why the snowpart has less ice as Antartiva has moved the last 15000 years, where different parts where positioned differently and thus experienced different climates. One part of Antartica it always snows, the othe rpart not. The snowing part has the thinnest layer of ice, while the landice is stacked snow. The not-snowing part has the biggest layer, this means it used to lay in the snow-position. One theory made by Einstein is that the land has shifted above the magnetic poles. Greenland is now above the Northpole, 15000 years ago this was Hudson bay, 30-40.000 years ago it was Alaska. When the lands shift over the poles, huge earthquakes happen and massive floods all over the world. This world-wide tragedy has been recorded in almost every ancient tradition, from the Inca's to the Hindu's.

The Piri-reis maps show copies of ancient maps, which show Antartica without ice. This means a developed sea-faring culture existed 15.000 years ago, when Antartica was still in the tropic zone. The Hopi Indians tell the history of ancient man-gods who came on land and gave them knowledge after the great flood. These maybe could be survivors of the ancient developed culture. But these are just theories, still needs a lot of research.

                        1. The 'inheritors' of the verse refers to the Arabs/Semetic people, and not to the whole of mankind as the verses on Noah tell about his people being punished and not all people on earth. This is more likely I believe.

I don't think the wings are literal.

JK- Dont say not literal. The Arabic term "janaaha" can have more than one literal, YES MORE THAN ONE LITERAL meaning. Some poeple think that a certain term in a language has one literal meaning only and the rest are all metaphors but this is wrong. Infact as bro Arnold explains this Arabic term aint derived from wing at all. GOD Bless!

Ismailis think that Salat, Hajj and all the stuff is not physically required even wudu and the same way you think.

So your best of knowldge and ability elevates up to that of Ismailis or Agha Khanis and these are not conisdered to be true muslims by Freeminds team.
