The editing and deleting options have been modified in the global settings. This is due to complaints that people were editing or deleting their posts after several posters had responded thus making the people responding look silly as well as making any reference to the subject/post no longer possible.

That seems logical... so folks we must double check before we post , and offcourse a new reply of corrections can always be added,
