is quran anti-semitic?

Salam Taj,
Without going through hebrew verses I will tell you what we do in our home.
We simply don't work. By that I mean that we are not out gathering resources to our home.
We don't do things for money and we don't make others work either (making others work includes going to places of business where others are working in my opinion). We devote some time to studying scripture (Psalms, Torah, Injeel, Quran). Most Saturdays we don't leave the house we just simply "stop." But sometimes we go for walks and enjoy nature. Its very refreshing. And I usually feel very energized on Sunday.
Everything is prepared on Friday to enjoy Saturday in Peace.I hope I answered your question, and thank you for asking.

You say "we"! Does this practice run in your whole family!? I never came across a Muslim family who embrace the four holy books! Do you not feel lonely or outcast for being the only family who hold such practice in the neighborhood? -
Salam Taj,
Actually my family at home is small. No one else that I know in this town or state is Muslim and most of my family that lives outside my home is not religious.
Yes my beliefs are certainly unique, but I am never alone. Allah is with those of faith always. And I will not be questioned for what others do. Alhamdullilah.I must admit there was a time when I did think of what others thought. But that was in the past when I was still searching for answers and wanting to fit in. Now I try only to think of what Allah would think and I try the best I can to follow only what is instructed in the four books to the best of my ability.
And I have found that when you treat others with respect to their thoughts and current understandings they will do the same.
Because I do study all four books I am able to have interesting conversations with people who belong to anyone of the Abrahamic faiths.
When I am with a Christian we discuss the injeel. When I am with a Jew we discuss the torah and when I am with Muslims I discuss the Quran. The messengers are different but the message is the same.
I find it's better to focus on similiarities rather than differences and that forms a sense of unity. And once two people find out they have so much in common when one of the differences are discussed people are generally more understanding and open to a pleasant discussion and both people can then walk away from the conversation having learned something. There is only one path. I make no difference in the messengers because they all share the same message.
Salam,

Salam everyone,
551 O you who believe, do not take the Jews and the Nazarenes as allies, for they are allies to one another; and whoever takes them as such from amongst you is one of them. God does not guide the wicked people.
I have never known what to make out from this particular verse. Does God tell me I should not be friends with Jews and Christians, "allies" as in a person who associates or cooperates with another; supporter? Friends are allies, so if I am friends (allies) to them Jews and Nazarenes (Christians), I am "one of them", "the wicked people"??
Peace.

In answer to the question, no, the Qur'an is not anti-Semitic.
It is written in a Semitic language itself, and by a Semite.
If what you mean is anti-Judaic, which is often misrepresented by the above term, then it isn't that either. What is probably being mentioned is certain people with certain approaches at the time of the Qur'an being preached, which was adverse.

Salam Alen,
Just out of curiosity, does this mean that you observe the Sabbath? Because by making a statement like the one above, you believe that people were punished by Allah for not observing the Sabbath, then that would mean that you believe that it should be observed.
For the record I do belive this and I do observe the Sabbath every Saturday.
Salam,
Arnab16124 The Sabbath was only decreed for those who disputed in it, and your Lord will judge between them for that which they disputed in.

Peace Mr. Humble,
Semitic
You've to understand that The Semites includes many other clans/tribes/people other than the Jews. Although I do know what you actually mean, thus I presumed anti-semitic is actually anti-jews.The Most Truely Anti Jewish Books
First of all the most anti-Jewish books is actually The Tanakh (Xtians calls it Old Testament) and The Bible (Xtians bundles of Old and New Testament).
Just read it if you don't believe me.Quran Differentiation Between Bani Israil and Rabbanical Judaism.
Please pay attention that the Quran uses the word YAHUDU, HADU or AL-HADU for your "anti-jewish" verses.
From the verses; it is actually clear that YAHUDU,HADU or AL-HADU refers to Rabbanical Judaism people. While the quran also bears many "good" references to Bani Israil / Beney Yisreel / People Of Israel.
O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you above all worlds (Al-Alamiyn)
O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you above all worlds (Al-Alamiyn)
And We made the people who were deemed weak to inherit the eastern lands and the western ones which We had blessed; and the good word of your Lord was fulfilled in the children of Israel because they bore up (sufferings) patiently; and We utterly destroyed what Firon and his people had wrought and what they built.
does the quran say that the jewish nation will not be given respite/national status until the judgement day?
NO, the Quran absolutely does not say that.
Instead, the Quran contains God's promise to the israelites..O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and be faithful to (your) covenant with Me, I will fulfill (My) covenant with you; and of Me, Me alone, should you be afraid.
how are the Jews hypocrite, how is it a proof that most of Jews are hypocrites?
Just read on the bible for the proof..
Actually; The Quran state that THE ARABS IS THE WORST IN HYPOCRISY (Thus worse than the Jews), read my footer for reference.
For the proof of Arabs hypocrite-ness, read the Quran..
Does it makes the Quran as the most anti-arab book? (Just like the Bible/Tanakh as the most anti-jewish book)why does society treat Jews as if they are outcasts, not only in the muslim world but sometimes in the "secular" world as well.
Well the fact is they were being outcasted from their homeland.. by the romans..
historically the crusades were fought by the Christians and the major religious conflicts in this world are/were muslims and christians.
Because those two sects/groups think that they have God's mandate to rule the world..
why does this phrase still exist today, "it's the Jews fault". have they committed a worldwide moral crime in the past that they are still criticized for it?
Because the bible is a popular book, and the bible expose Jew's rebellion, immorality and evil-doings.
Although I also sometimes wonder, why doesn't the same standard applied to the Arabs (pictured as an idol-worshipper in the Quran) or the Egyptians (Pharaoh story).if the new generation is still stereotyped and criticezed for the crimes of their forefathers, then when will the human reason arrive to grow from it? in the hadith, hypocrites were equated with jews, and that's reasonable within the hadith only, why the quran?
As mentioned earlier, actually the Quran declares that actually the arabs are the worst in hypocrisy..
The Arabs (al-arabu) are the worst in rejection and hypocrisy, and more likely not to know the limits of what God has sent upon His messenger
997Salam

Arabs are semetic...This is one thing that grinds at me because Jews accuse Arab Muslims of being anti semites. In actuality, a lot of the modern Jews probably arent even semetic.
Yup, just like many of the modern arabs are actually jewish descendant as well.
ie The name like Yasher Arafat is actually a "Jewish name".
In Hebrew;
Yasher = Honest (person)
Aravat = Desert plain
Yasher Aravat = honest man from the desert plainPeace / Salam / Shalom

The languages of Arabic and Hebrew comes from Aramaic, don't they. I watched passion of the Christ and I can understand some of the words there including Allah used by Jesus and Rab used by Peter and inta meaning you.

The Jews are the only monotheists ever.
Muslims worship Muhammad, Xtians worship Jesus. -
The Jews are the only monotheists ever.
Muslims worship Muhammad, Xtians worship Jesus. What a twisted facts you have.
First of all the current Jews (Khazarian jews) has nothing to do with jews in the quran.
Until the fake Khazarian Ashkenazi jews came to Palestine, the authentic jews are the Arab yemeni and Iraqi jews.
So Quran was not talking about the Ashkenazi jews, Quran was mentioning Arab jews all along.
You have to realize that Jews are not a nation, like there are arab Muslims and Arab christians, there are arab jews.
there is no such jewsish nation, Beni Israel is an yemeni arabic tribe, like beni hasan, beni harith,.. etc
Anti-antisemitism was invented by Moritz Steinschneider who is a Ashkenazi Khazarian jew.
your claim that muslims worship mohammad is baseless.

Judaism has very little to do with the original teachings/revelation sent to prophet Moses.
Christianity has very little to do with the original teachings/revelation sent to prophet Jesus.
And Islam has very little to do with the Qur'an

Thank you for the link, it is interesting.
But you see, being Jewish is not a question of DNA! It is not a question of body, or customs, or cultural identity. It is a question of the soul. To be Jewish, you have to have a Jewish Soul, which G-d gives directly to whom He wants.
There are many Jews today who would be surprised to know that they are not actually Jewish, similar to many Muslims or Xtians who might discover that they might be Jewish, because of too many conversions (both directions) during the history.
If someone wants to become Jewish or to examine and check if he is Jewish, it has to be done in a halakha way by a real true orthodox authority.
