Member Named Allah

it wouldn't be offensive if y'all became five percenters, then everyone could call themselves allah... and when people made them mad they could say "don't test the god"
if you make him change his name then you will have to instate a rule whereby all members can provide a nick which they can prove to live up to or use their real names... and real real, not just what you would like to call yourself in arabic, but your legal first name
it still makes me giggle after all these years how people are calling it "Allah" with the capital at the beginning... that's like typing The god in english... if you want to capitalise it then the majiscule letter is in the wrong position anyways... but arabic doesn't have capital letters, so what are you all gonna do?
Im just curious how the forum members feel about this issue, it may become a defining moment for this forum.
firstly the sky is not made of iron, i feign offense!
secondly i wasn't aware that this forum had become so short on defining moments that this was going to be one of them... i thought it was mostly just a seemingly infinite number of monkeys typing in hopes of coming to some sort of... i don't know
what happened, did danish get banned? he would have had a whole bunch of venom to spew over this back in the day

The kid did it to make a point, which was very good, although I agree that it was very radical. But what do you expect from Phoenix D
And Alen, you can not compare this with Pharoah, as he was tyrant demanding to be seen as an idol, Phoenix only wanted to make a point. God does not care about this, as the intention was not to be taken serious.
We must seperate what we don't like and what God doesn't like, these two are very different on many occasions.
But indeed Phoenix, you could have used another example, because you got to keep in mind people are more sensetive about God, then He Himself is. Also, the more radical, the more chance to be misunderstood.
Just don't do it anymore kid.

Peace,
Just don't do it anymore kid.
Yeah right he is ONLY a kid )

I?m sorry but I honestly don?t know what the big deal is? nope.
So what if Phoenix wants to call him self Allah. ignore
We already have a moderator calling him self ?TheNabi?. -\
I think phoenix has a right to change his username back to Allah. yes
BTW who voted ?NO, I actually think he is Allah? ;D
And Alen take a chill pill....

Salam Lobster~
Thank you group I think you did the most admirable thing, despite your feelings and maybe others. You are kind enough to see that some of us here, are sensitive (maybe more than god,...I don't know) about God's name. You prove yourself to be of a good character. You are well appreciated for changing it away from the name of God.
Peace be upon you always, sun

salaam,
Do you also have a problem with the username TheNabi?
I think ya just picking on phoenix. hmm
Ya think?
Nah, I'm pretty open and I usually say what I mean. I don't have a problem with TheNabi or Rasool or whatever else. I think I've been pretty clear where I draw the line. What you should have asked about, and I'm surprised no one mentioned this yet, is there is another member called - thegod who joined a while ago. Yes, I had a problem with that at the time too.
Peace, Angel )

I haven?t noticed anyone called ?the god?, only ?proGod?
So is anyone allowed to call themselves Jesus, Hashem, brahma or any other name people refer to as God? Or is it just Allah that is off-limits?
Can I change my user name to ?goddess? or is that not allowed?
peace be upon you

Peace all,
How can someone change his username all by himself? I had to get it changed by a mod or is their some new function now? Moreover how could "phoenix" do this? Although he might not share our every view ont he Quran, he still beleives in GOD so why would he do such a thing? ??? GOD Bless! -

Perhaps it?s his perception of God.
I was reading a book by Neale Donald Walsch, he claimed to have a conversation with god (honestly, some people have really wild imaginations D), in his ?conversation? god told him that it was his plan to turn us all into Gods. Maybe that?s where phoenix got his idea from? ;D

JK- I must say this person is totally deluded. To say tht GOD can turn us all into gods is like saying tht GOD could create something so heavy tht he cannot lift Himself. The reason is GOD is infinite and it would take infinite amount of time for anyone/thing to become infinite in power as well. So it doesnt matter how much power GOD induces in any of us well always remain finite in power. We can all become part of GOD again or better be in total agreement with him as were the particles we now consist of originally. GOD is defined by a combination of all existing intelligence so even if He were finite we still couldnt become gods since if we all combined we would once again be in agreement and be part of GOD. The concept of their being a god besides GOD is entirely illogical. GOD Bless!

The book was philosophical, apart from the occasional weird statements it was an okay read?.
It was based on the idea that a teacher was suppose to make her/his student into a teacher, and that god was suppose to make us into gods.
However it is blasphemous, but with an open-mind it is a good read.

Just go to Mexico and you meet a lot of Jesuses. Anyway, the reason people use the name of someone else is so he hopes he could be like that person. For example parents name their sons Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, or Abraham because they want them to have similar charateristics as them and there is nothing wrong with it since those people were normal humans too. But if you name yourself 'the God', then is it possible for anyone to equate himself with God who in Al Quran says that there are none who are His equal?
Peace,
