    Peace,

I believe the word 'jinn' is derrived from 'jainism', an ancient religion which still exists.

Interesting theory. However, Jinn is an arabic word, can the same be said for Jainism?

I wonder if they are mentioned in the bible, and if so what are they translated as

    peace

Isn't Jainism older than islam? Or did I absorb the wrong information?

        Peace,

Jainism is rather a modern word for an ancient nature religion. It does not have the same root-letters as Jinn, as Jinn is J-N-N and Jainism would be J-N-S.

Plus, it has nothing to do with the rootmeaning. J-N-N means something behind a barrier as a child in a womb, a grave, a king in a palace, an insect, snakes on the ground, legends, emotions and so on. Jinn is very simple. The word Nas used for man in its original sense means "Those that have halted in a place", Jinn is used as an opposite for Nas/Ins and thus means the humans that are beyond the perception of those that halted in a place. Referring to foreigners, nomads, people living in jungles, hermits, monks, nuns, the elite, rulers. People that do not hold a common position in society.

Next to this, it also refers to legends, feelings, pre-historic man and so on. It is not a title of a species, but a description of an attribute that can be shared by several things or persons.

I think it actually might have been my house in Phoenix that might have been haunted, I haven't experienced anything in Reno.

It just doesn't sound fair!! It means that I can't take a relaxing shower buttnaked without thinking to myself 'who's watching me?'... Or even having sex with your spouse would feel uncomfortable if you believe in ghosts. rotfl

Couldn't the same thing be said about an all seeing God?

you listed a lot of things there, but are you saying that it's not at all possible that jinn could refer to somekind of creation that exists in a world that is hidden to us?
because there are many reports of "ghosts" in haunted houses or elsewhere, now whatever they really are, they are hidden from us, so they could also be called 'jinn', right?

'This is because we are all linked through the Quantum vacuum and pick up information that is stored in the field.'

i would assume that these dead people would just repeat what they were doing and saying when they were alive, but no, they say things as if they were still alive, conscious in this other world.

so how would you explain that people who tap into this other world and see deceased people, they talk to them and these dead people talk back, they say new things, they answer questions as if they were actually here???

                    Peace,

Hauntings are not haunted places but energy resonants of what happened at the place. Strong emotions will leave a strong imprint into the place which can be picked by other people even centuries later. This is called placement-memories. People process these placement-memories in different ways.

Some think they are communicating but are in reality processing the energy information into a self-made story. This is also why children will experience these energy imprints in a compltely different way.

And for the rest, most stories are fake, made up to get attention, dreams that are believed to have really happened and so on.

JK- Interesting. Yes i viewed M. Shermer's clip on youtube where he explains how em pulses/magnetic resonace could effect the frontall lobe of the brain and cause it to feel the presence of something which aint otherwise there. But can this really lead to specific, once present, info or just random mixings of already availbale info in the brain itself? Heres Shermers clip http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCVzz96zKA0
Tell me what you make of it. GOD Bless!
