am i crazy or is that a typo in 6151.
Say "Come let me recite for you what your Lord has forbidden for you that you should not set up anything with Him; and be kind to your parents; and do not kill your children for fear of poverty...are we forbidden to not set up partners?
are we forbidden to be kind to our parents?
are we forbidden to not kill our children?in bosnian translation of the quran it goes something like this
6151 Say "Come let me recite for you what your Lord has prescribed/ordered for you that you should not set up anything with Him; and be kind to your parents; and do not kill your children for fear of poverty... -
Ah, in any language, you can do that.
Read it carefully - to rephrase "Come let me recite for you what your Lord has forbidden for you you should not set up anything with Him; and you should be kind to your parents; and you should not kill your children for fear of poverty..."
That would give the same meaning. Common linguistic device.

Verses 6151-153 actually contain ten commandmants. These are the tenets of Islam, which have remained unchanged, since the time of the Patriarch Abraham. The 10 commandmants can be positive (what to do/uphold) or negative (what not to do).

You maybe right.
But I think it is a double command not a double negative. For emphasis purpose.

Haraam can also be translated as INVIOLABLE and thus "harrama" would mean "made inviolable" in the context of 6151 and will make sense
6151 Come let me recite for you what your Lord has made inviolable for you that you should not set up anything with Him; and be kind to your parents; and do not kill your children for fear of poverty...
