    Bismillahi Arrahmani Arraheem

This is a true story about the great wali of India, Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti (rahmatullah alaih). He was a intensely pious and holy man, to whom the conversion of most of India's Muslims and their modern day descendants is due.
    http//www.chishtiyamission.com/21b.html

The Great Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A) remained settled with his few followers on the bank of Ana Sagar Lake. The followers of the Holy Saint used to draw water from it and sometimes they would catch fish from the Sagar and rarely slaughtered cows. These activities were repugnant to the sentiments and religious feelings of the Raja. Around Ana Sagar there were many temples. The Brahmin priests of these temples complained about such anti-Hindu activities to the Raja. The Raja immediately ordered the removal of all these Muslim derveshes and his companions from the Ana Sagar Hill.

Raja Prithvi Raj's servants not only demanded the removal of Hazrat Khwaja Baba (R.A.) and his followers but also arrogantly insisted on their vacating the Ajmer soil. This notice of leaving Ajmer was made in a very indecent and improper tune. In no circumstances could the Great Hazrat Khwaja Baba (R.A.) agree to the withdrawal from Ajmer with his companions because he was there under the instructions and command of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and by the will of Almighty Allah.

When all these temple Brahmin priests mobbed and attacked the Great Khwaja Baba (R.A.) with the ultimate aim of murdering him, Hazrat Khwaja Baba (R.A.) took some dust in his own hands and threw it upon these cruel Brahmins which made them retreat and some of them lost sense and some of them lost eye sight and a few even ran away in terror.

When the Raja noticed this he became very perturbed and disheartened. Then he took a very inhuman step against the Muslim Faqir and his companions. The Raja in accordance with the Brahmins request, ordered that the water from Ana Sagar be stopped for the Great Khwaja Baba (R.A.) and his followers.

Raja Prithvi Raj Chowhan raised the alarm and posted his army on all sides of Ana Sagar and strictly ordered the soldiers that Muslims should not be allowed to carry water from the Ana Sagar. When Hazrat Khwaja Baba?s (R.A.) followers came to take water from Ana Sagar, they saw that the Ana Sagar water was totally banned for them and the Military was posted there. The companions became very much frightened. Khwaja Baba's (R.A.) followers returned with an empty jug to Khwaja Baba (R.A.) and explained whatever they had seen.

On hearing the events, Hazrat Khwaja Baba (R.A.) felt deeply hurt and he himself took the Kooza (tumbler) and went down towards Ana Sagar. As soon as Hazrat Khwaja Baba (R.A.) came across a soldier, he prevented him from taking water from the Ana Sagar tank. Hazrat Khwaja Baba (R.A.) looked at his face with his miraculous eyes. The soldier could not tolerate Hazrat Khwaja Baba?s (R.A.) angry face. He became nervous and fell down on the ground unconscious and dropped the sword from his hand. The Great Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A) absorbed and fetched the whole water of the Ajmer city in the Kooza (tumbler) including the Ana Sagar water. All sources of water for the city mysteriously disappeared. Even the milk in the breasts of nursing mothers and animals dried up.

This disappearance of water was noted by Prithviraj's people with consternation. This miracle caused a great change in the sentiments and ambitions of the public.

Consequently, a large number of people embraced Islam at the hand of the Great Khwaja Baba (R.A). The strength of the opposition to him decreased owing to this unprecedented miracle. Raja Prithvi Raj was criticised by the public for the disappearance of the water. In spite of his best efforts and tactics water could not be restored. At last Raja Prithvi Raj Chowhan personally went to the Great Hazrat Khwaja Baba (R.A.) and said that in future he would not ban the use of water for any human being or creature, which is a free gift of nature. He apologised to the Saint and the water facility was restored to all instantaneously

Subhan Allah! This reminds me about the famous saying, 'Every Pharoah shall meet his Moses'. In the case of Hazrat Ghareeb Nawaz (RA), the Pharoah of his day was Raja Prithvi Raj. He used to persecute the great Muslim saint and his companions, at the behest of the Hindu priests. This is a true story, and it is a sign of Allah Taala still bestowing His Signs and Blessings to the righteous Muslims. The miracles did not end with our Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa salaam), but rather, the miracles which are being shown through the awliya are a testament to the greatness of Rasoolullah (sallallahu alaihi wa salaam) and the powerful spiritual teaching which he brought from Heaven.

    Jazak Allah khair.

If it happened, it was a miracle of God, not a miracle of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti (rahmatullah alaih).

Just keep that in mind peace

              Gharibnawaz(R.A) >Karamat (Miracles)>Khawaja Sahib's Pilgrimage To Mecca Every Year

As is evident from his life history Khawaja Moinuddin is reported to have performed two Haj pilgrimages to Mecca before coming out to India. But the Hajis (pilgrims who visit Mecca during the Haj) who undertook pilgrimage to Mecca during Khawaja Sahibs stay in Ajmer bore evidence to the fact on their return to Indian that they saw the great saint in Mecca personally during the Haj every year. It was indeed one of his marvellous miracles. How could he do this feat in the absence of any modern means of transport 700 years ago, is a mystery beyond human perception and yet it is a fact corroborated by eye witness and history. During the Haj period, he was seen both in Ajmer and Mecca.

Of course. And it did happen, there is no "if" about it. rotfl rotfl rotfl

              Gharibnawaz(R.A) >Karamat (Miracles)>Milk From An Immature Cow?

One day Khawaja Moinuddin Chishty was sitting on the bank of the Ana-sagar lake at Ajmer. A shepherd-boy happened to pass before him with a herd of young cows who had not yet acquired their maturity. The Khawaja Sahib asked the boy for some milk from his herd. The boy took it to be a joke and said, "Baba they are all young calf of immature age; they do not yield any milk at this age." The Khawaja Sahib smiled and, pointing towards a young cow, said, "I would like to drink the milk of that cow, go and milk her." The boy obeyed rather hesitatingly. When he went to milk this particular cow, he was simply astonished to find her teats fully developed and over-flowing with milk. The boy filled several receptacles with milk which 40 persons drank to their full satisfaction. He was so much impressed by this strange miracle that he became great devotee of Khawaja Sahib.

              Gharibnawaz(R.A) >Karamat (Miracles)>Restoration Of Murdered Man

One day a waiting old woman came to Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin who was busy with his wazoo (ablution). The woman complained that the governor of the city had murdered her son without any fault and that she had come to him to beg for justice. The Khawaja Sahib, after finishing with his wazoo picked up his asa-e-mubarak (holy staff) and went out with the old lady to go to the place where the murdered corpse of her son was lying. His close devotees also followed him in attendance. The Khawaja Sahib placed the severed heard in its proper position on the body of the murdered young man and prayed to the Almighty God, "O Allah, if this man was murdered with any fault, then grant him his life". After this prayer, the Khawaja Sahib put his staff on the corpse and said, "Get up by the command of Allah if you are innocent." The young man got up, hale and hearty, and the next moment both he and his old mother fell down at the feet of the great saint of Ajmer in solemn gratitude

Great example of Sacrifice as an infant

According to historians, Khwaja Muinuddin Chishty even during his childhood gave early promise of his rare piety and sacrifice for others. Whenever any woman with a baby came to see his mother and if the baby cried for feeding,"the infant saint of the future" used to make a sign to his mother to feed the crying baby from her own breast. When his mother did this, the spectacle pleased the little Muinuddin very much.

I also thought so. I just can't believe a young man his age would believe in these fairy tales. Young people question everything. I had three little "nikares".

I can understand why its so hard for you people to believe that how people can think about it but its just because you do not know Hanafi-sects of sub continent. Yusha is far more intelligent if it is true that he is 18. There are two main Hanafi sects in sub continent deobandi and barelvi. Barelvis are the most innocent people among all the sects. There are many sub-sects as well Within the Hanafi-barelvi sect, and the level of innocence varies among all of them. Yusha has presented the miracle of a very famous saint of sub continent, but there are many karamaat miracles people believe in related to common people who are not saint at all. See for example how they think, a hanafi barelvi sub-sect Dawat-e-Islami presents

Excerpt from the book of The founder of Dawat-e-Islami Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri

                                Blessings of Dawat-e-Islami

Each and every one of you should become a part of Dawat-e-Islami because Inshaa-Allah you will succeed in both worlds. Let me tell you of a recent occurrence of Dawat-e-Islamis successs. Inshaa-Allah it will fill your hearts with enthusiasm and Inshaa-Allah turn it into a garden of Madina

The body of Muhammad Ihsaan Attari

A young man called Muhammad Ihsaan of the Gulbahar area of Karachi joined Dawat-e-Islami and became a follower of Sayyiduna Ghous-e-Azam through me. This brought about a Madani transformation in his life. He grew a full beard and began to wear a green Imaama Shareef. He learnt how to read the Holy Quran at Madrassa-tul-Madina and began to approach people in order to invite them towards good. All of a sudden he began to feel pain in his neck and despite treatment it only got worse and he found himself facing a life or death situation. He used my published will (available to buy from Maktaba-tul-Madina) to write his own will and passed it on to his local Nigraan (in charge) just before he died. He was approximately 35 years old at the time of death and was buried in the local cemetery. He had asked for Islamic Brothers to recite Naats for about 12 hours near his grave and this is what they did. On Tuesday 6th Jamad-ul-Akhir 1418 (7th October 1997), about three and a half years after his death, the body of another Islamic Brother, Usman Attari, was brought to the same cemetery for burial. Some of the attendees approached the grave of Muhammad Ihsaan Attari to pray but they were astonished to see a big hole on one side of the grave which allowed the body to become visible, Muhammad Ihsaan Attari who had been buried approximately three and a half years ago was lying there with a green Imaama Shareef on his head, the body was still intact and the shroud was still smelling of perfume. The news spread like fire and throughout the whole night people stood there gazing at the body. Among those present were people who had misunderstood Dawat-e-Islami and after witnessing the mercy of Allah on this Islamic brother, decided to change their opinions and became a part of Dawat-e-Islami themselves.

                                Martyr of Dawat-e-Islami

My Dear Islamic Brothers! You might already be aware of the fact that a murder attempt on the life of this humble servant of the Sunnah was made on the 25th Rajab 1416 in Lahore. As a result of this attempt two Muballigheen, Haji Uhud Raza Attari and Muhammad Sajjad Attari were martyred. About 8 months later, Lahore experienced some severe rainfall, due to which the grave of Haji Uhud Raza Attari was damaged. It was decided that the body would be transferred into another grave so his grave was dug up but to their amazement those present witnessed the body intact and unaffected. In the presence of many people his body was moved. This incident has been mentioned in detail in The blessings of Dawat-e-Islami Part 2. I request all Islamic brothers and Islamic Sisters to associate yourselves with the Madani environment of Dawat-e-Islami. There is no membership process in Dawat-e-Islami. Make an attempt to attend your local Dawat-e-Islami Ijtima every week and to travel with Ashiqaan-e-Rasool in Madani Qafilay for discipline in the way of the Sunnah. Each and every single person should make efforts to spread the message of the Sunnah and invite others to good in their own individual occupations and fields.

                                    peace all,

I think 80% of the population in the Indian sub continent believe in such miracles .....in Lahore only we have the shrines of more then two dozen sufi saints....the most notable of which is the shrine of Ali hajveri where thousands of people go daily.....there are thousands of shrines of sufi saints in Pakistan alone.

however according to my study, they were literary and pious people of their times who preached the message of religious tolerance, communal harmony, liberalism, humanism and love.

Tear down the mosque and the temple; break everything in sight
But do not break a person?s heart, it is there that God resides

Mullah and the torch-bearer, both from the same flock
Guiding others; themselves in the dark

?Parde ilm hazaar kitaaba, kaddee apnae aap nu paraeya nahee, jan jan vardae mandir maseethee, kaddeee man apnae vich varaeya nahee."

                                    This roughly translates into

?They study thousands of books of knowledge, yet they never study their own self! They eagerly enter the temples and mosques, but they dare not enter into their own hearts to find the truths of their own self!"

None of them have ever claimed of possessing any miraculous powers .

All the miracle related with them are the innovations of the caretakers of their shrines for whom their shrines were/are a source of income generation. unfortunately people instead of studying the works of these Sufi saints...study the books written by others about these sufis and that is where the basis of all miracles related with them have their foundations.

                                    peace
