    DArgento is correct.

    Verses pertaining to authority

    4153
    40056
    247
459 (the verse your sunni friend cited) - Note the latter portion that states that you should refer matters to the Quran.

The only verse I could find about Muhammad mentioning him directly is 3341. The messenger is not important - the message is.

      muhammad n. 3144, 3340, 472, 4829

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

3144 And Mohammed is but a messenger, like many messengers that have passed before him. If he dies or is killed will you turn back on your heels? And whoever turns back on his heels, he will not harm God in the least. And God will reward the thankful.

            brain (brn)

            a. The portion of the vertebrate central nervous system that is enclosed within the cranium, continuous with the spinal cord, and composed of gray matter and white matter. It is the primary center for the regulation and control of bodily activities, receiving and interpreting sensory impulses, and transmitting information to the muscles and body organs. It is also the seat of consciousness, thought, memory, and emotion.

A useful tool. Some blind followers should use it.
