Here. It's the first time i debate someone about the subject and i already see why some stopped doing it. It's astonishing.

Leave these people to wallow in their own ignorance.

I debate with them a lot elsewhere, and it always ends up with me posting a few pages of text and the thread dying out.

      They never learn.

I point to links of books that put down the hadith in general, yet he keep uses hadith for his argumentation.

If they give you links and books about the evil of Islam would you go through all of them too?

Just read that thread, well most of it. It's the same deal on other forums, some of the worst were some "science forums" discussing islam. Boy were those rabid. You can tell reading the thread that some people have biases that they just can't let go of because it's a part of their beliefs. Gary88 however was funny. That "Rush" guy is a clone of many others I've seen "debating islam". "Cleisthenes" just can't believe that there can be something other than what he has read so far and doesn't want to get into it any deeper seeing as how the superficial stuff is aligned perfectly with what he thinks it's all about.

They aren't trying to be skeptics who might see valid points on both sides, they have clearly chosen a side. It's beneficial however for someone else reading the debate or maybe the same people will think over it later. Personally, I avoid debates unless I know the person is open minded and/or logical enough to reach a decent compromise with or maybe more. peace

I know some of these books already, but they don't show why Islam got hijacked in the long run it's own people.
