why has my koran got little explanations at the bottom

salam alikium all i wish to ask if theres a reason for excepts from bukari muslim etc at bottom of pages in my koran and is it possible to get one without the bits add on the bottem hope you all didnt think it was a silly question salam.

Some translations come with footnotes, such as explanations by the translator, citing hadith to explain a point etc.
Different translations do this to different degrees. The only one I'm aware of with no footnotes is the ProgressiveMuslims.org translation, see here http//free-minds.org/quran/ or you can buy it from Amazon etc.

That may well be but that particular translation inserts a lot of extra stuff into the verses.
