1587 And We have bestowed upon thee the SEVEN Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an.Perhaps 7 separate verses?
Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena
The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. Then ONE contiguous Qur'an with ONE Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi...
Aliflammeem
A.L.M.

Innahu min sulaymana wainnahu bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
"It is from Solomon, and is (as follows) 'In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Mina aljinnati wa alnnasi.n.m,.m
Among Jinns and among men. -
That's interesting. Doesn't that verse talk about a letter exchange, however?
It would make sense, considering Al-Fateha is the only real vocal chapter.

Yes, exactly?
Qalat ya ayyuha almalao innee olqiya ilayya kitabun kareemun
2729 (The queen) said "Ye chiefs! here is delivered to me - a letter worthy of respect.Innahu min sulaymana wainnahu bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
2730 "It is from SOLOMON, and is (as follows) 'In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most MercifulThe key with only bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi then Qur?an begins with A.L.M.
The question is if 112 bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi were part of ?revealed? Qur?an or perhaps it was only standard protocol since the time of Solomon to include in all letters, official documents, coins, etc?

Only exception being Surah 9 according to hearsay tradition that it was from the start?

Omission of Bismillah
This is the only Surah of the Quran to which Bismillah is not prefixed. Though the commentators have given different reasons for this, the correct one that which has been given by Imam Razi namely, this is because the Holy Prophet himself did not dictate it at the beginning of the Surah. Therefore the Companions did not prefix it and their successors followed them., This is a further proof of the fact that utmost care has been taken to keep the Quran intact so that it should remain in its complete and original form.
The coins and Solomon?s letter are good evidence it was common protocol and still is.

Thanks for the links...quite interesting.
OT 1 What about this "fire altar" on all "islamic era" coins (untill Al7ajaj ibn Yousuf who had coins without drawings), then after him they reappeared?
OT 2 From a coin dated Year 66 AH
Typical late Arab-Sassanian bust and fire-altar with attendants. Obverse margin bism Allh / Muhammad rasl / Allh ("In the name of God, Muhammad is the messenger of God". This is the earliest occurance of the name "Muhammad" in a dated Muslim text.
In the same year, under another wali, this mentioning of "Muhammad is the messenger of God diapperead, reappeared 10 years later in 72 AH, disappeared again same year and reappeared in 76-77 but in a long senetence derived from a verse.

Yes, very interesting and perhaps evidence of ?disagreements? by those in charge and one can see the off/on beginnings of idolization of the messenger creeping in.

Those images remind me of ?Give onto Caesar what is Caesar?s? quote in Bible and fire-altar with bism Allh ("In the name of God" was perhaps a common Arab-Christian term; those coins show who was in charge of minting and when Islam really started to take over for the first thing was to eliminate the pagan images?
