    Peace to all.

In the name of Allah most Gracious, most Merciful.

My name is Nadeem Chowdhari. I am from Dubai. 28 years of age. Well my journey began about ten days before my mother passed away. The particular incident goes as follows.(plz bear with me as I want to share this with my REAL Muslim brothers)

It was during the time when she was initially admitted in a government hospital.
On the fourth day that she there, things got really bad and we had to get her into a specialized hospital in Al Ain (Tawam Hospital). For some odd reason although we did get the approval to shift her, the doctor in the current hospital would not let her go. They would come to us saying things like "the person who has given the approval is not authorized," so on and so forth. Well it was really one of the worst days of my life. Seeing my mother in the state that she was. To top it up, the hospital did not even have the required equipment to deal with the situation.
We started to the at 9am and by the time it was 7pm. Mom was still in the hospital in much worst condition doctors were still beating around the bush.(approval)

At 7pm, when tried to call Tawam hospital there was no answer there coz there office close up at 6.30pm and to make matter worst it was a Thursday, a weekend. That would mean that matter to shifting her was delayed to Saturday.

It was at that time that dad realised that it was useless being in the hospital where we could not do anything. He asked all of us to go home and read the Quran and make dua for her. So we all (the whole family) went back and started reading Surat Y.S. I was among the people who was reading it as well but likea recorder not registering anything. My only dua was Plz God save my mother...

That was the time I really implored God. My Dua or my calling was that "God, if you are really there plz shift my mother to Tawam, whatever happens after that, I would take it as your decision" It was the time when I really questioned the legitimacy of the existence of God. If it were not to happen then I would be lost forever. (My Allah forgive me for my utterances) But I had not other choice it was just left to Him, all other resources had exhausted and there seemed no light.

Moving on while I called upon God for His help. It was around 10.15pm the people had just stopped reading the Surat Y.S. I think we had to read it for 110 times or so. We got a call from the hospital, they got the approval from Tawam and they were shifting her immediately. That was the time I got my miracle from the Almighty. Before I believed that he was there because it was drilled in to us since childhood. But the I Knew that He is there listening. God became a proven reality for me..

Next was yes He is there but most of the people in the world believe that there is One Almighty God. Why do we say that Quran is the word God Himself. The only way that I could really believe in Quran if it provide proofs or fact that proved that it the book of The Creator of the heavens and the earth. Well thank God that I got my proofs from Quran Itself. If Quran is really the word of God then obviously we have to follow whatever it written in there. But it was difficult as most of the Translations were in Latin English difficult to understand. I even came across The Message by progressive Muslims. But again all translation man made. Word of God is in Arabic. So one day Dad was just watching this debate on the google video, between Rashad Khalifa and some other doctor where the things he said about the Islam were making sense to. (If anybody interested go to video.google and type Rashad Khalifa and click on the link where it says the great debate.) All of a sudden I started seeing Islam in a new light, a clearer light. Although there are some things that I have my take on, but after going through various translations of the quran, I totally agree that God Alone is not only enough but all we would ever need.

My take on the 19 number miracle is that I don't know and it does not matter, we have to see the message person is trying convey. Even if he is the messenger, has he asked for anything in return, just trying to prove that all we need is Allah. therefore my humble request to all is that rather than proving each other wrong and claiming to have a better understanding of the religion, Lets make dua to THE ALMIGHTY GOD to guide us and the people who wish to be guided on the straight path.

Glory be to God the Lord of the universe.

    thanx
    peace.

Nadeem, if you are a Dubaite then I suppose you should understand Arabic. By the way, from your last name are you actually a Pakistani or something?

              Hello Nadym,

My condolence on your mom's demise. But all that intense praying and reciting surah yaseen 110 times only shifted your mom from one caregiver to another but could not save her. ??? If you think God is All-Knowing, All-Hearing and close to our jugular veins, what was the point of such tensions, worries and intense repetitions? I'm afraid this only undermines God's attributes and powers, to say the least (no pun intended).

              Peace!

                Peace Ganteel,

After all we are human and we tend to attach ourselves to the people close to us. When I made to Dua to shift her that was because there was equipment for that couls help her ease the pain. In Tawan there was and I did get to speak to her for a breif time while she was there. Thank God for that.

The point of the sharing this experience with all is that, through this episode in my life I have come to the conclusion That Iknow longer believe that God is there, but I know he is there, listening to us.

                Regards,
                Peace

                  Salam.

welcome to the forum NADYM and may i say, that was a really big test for you and alhamdilAllah, you passed.

If i may tell you one thing you will only get harder and harder tests because you are a tfrue believer. See, the thing is, the way i understand, God knows best, i think that only true believers get harder tests because they pass them, right?

I mean, a man is tested whether he should kill his boss for making him work 16 hours a day, 6 days a week. He kills him and from there it only goes down. He goes to jail or is not caught and lives most of his life hiding and worrying and dying of concern.

But if you don't kill your boss, you get a bigger test, harder test, because if yopu can abstain from a murder, then you can probably hold yourself from not burning the factory, when you get fired.

So, this man worked 16 hours a day, 6 days a week for a poor salary and did not kill his boss. Boss fires him. Now he is unemployed. The man turns to The Exalted God The Most Powerful and ask Him for help.

I mean, why ask "help" from humans when they can't help you that much. Yes, they can give you some money, they can give you a place to stay, food, clothes but remember Who made it all possible - The Exalted God.

You are a true believer, brother and i hope that you stay here with us for a long time, inshaAllah. You just rely on The Exalted God The Most Merciful, The Most Powerful and He will protect you, guide you and help you.

                  Glory be to God.

                  Peace.

                    Peace Nadym and all,

Just like the test of Yusuf in the prison, when he forgot God and left it in the hands of man to get him out.

My take on the 19 number miracle is that I don't know and it does not matter, we have to see the message person is trying convey. I agree on that statement. I am not too quick to judge on this issue even though I have heard some bad things about Khalifa. Its far too coincedental for me (code 19) but then again that can just be from my own ignorance. All things are left with God at the end. May God guide us all on the right path and grant us wisdom.

                    Wa Salaam
