Recommend A Word For Word Quran Translation

The word for word translation that is available at Wakas' site (by Zaheen Baig) IS available in hardcopy form. The downside is that you have to order direct from the publisher in Pakistan and figure out the proper conversion rates.
My personal suggestion is to get the Noble Quran word for word (which is the one I use myself). It is readily available in the U.S. and not too expensive.
Although it uses the Muhsin Khan and Al-Hilali translation (slight downside) for me personally the value is not in the translation, the value for me is that the book seperates each Arabic word in the Quran and makes it simpler for me to quickly and easily ascertain the root letters of whatever word that I wish to look up and explore further. In this way, it doesn't matter HOW they translate any of the words as long as you have access to really good Arabic Dictionaries and Lexicons to ascertain the meanings of the words yourself. Very, very useful.

However, I think Im still gonna get it.
Now, I have another question. Can anyone recommend me a good classical Arabic dictionary?

Assuming you want it in Arabic/English, and in book form
Lane's Lexicon is best, but expensive. (If you live in the UK, I can send you it free if you want, as I have a copy unbound, i.e. separate pages. With the intention you'd make use of it of course.)
A superb and cheap book is Dictionary of Quran by Abdul Mannan Omar.
Project Root List now has Classical Arabic meanings listed for about 90% of roots and this will increase to 99% in about 2 months, GW, so you may prefer to use this.
Once PRL is complete, it will be available in book form (of course, you may have to wait a while).

The one publishd by jima isn't a word for word Translation, it is a word for word Meanings of the quran in that it has footnotes at the bottom giving some linguistic and grammatical explanations of Some but not All words of each verse.
I believe what Jankren, Wakas and the rest here are talking about is what you'll find at The Emuslim Site and at the Quran in English Site where every arabic word of every verse is seprated with it's English equivalent given next to it or beneath it.

Brother, does the ones you have mentioned have a complete index? I mean, can I for example easily find out on which page surah 2150 is without having to browse the hundreds of ayats in chapter two?
I find that this is the main lack in every word-to-word translation I've come over.

Peace Nadeem,
Neither of the word for word translations that I have posted in my post above has an index. The Noble Quran word for word is also lacking an index. I think the noble quran word for word would be the least inconvenient of the three because it is in hardcopy form and the Surah names and numbers are on the top of each page. So you'll probably have an easier time looking through this one as opposed to the two that are available online.

I personally do not find looking up Noble Quran Word for Word too difficult, as Damon said it tells you the chapter number&name at the top and numbers the verses on the pages quite clearly.
In terms of Lane's Arabic-English lexicon, I personally found looking up the hardcopy time consuming (8 volume set) and always preferred the CD-Rom. Looking up Lane via PRL is also quick.

Since you are from indonesia, i would suggest you to purchase "Terjemah Al-Quran secara Lafazhiyah" which is widely used in your country. Here in malaysia, many ppl are using this too. To me the translation follows strictly the arabic wordings and it is very usefull.

www.studyquran.co.uk/PRLonline.htmFrom the link above and in its section of "What root meaning is correct", the first three words of the last sentence in the paragraph below is what tickles everyones' mind which makes understanding the Arabic of Quran rather challenging and the confusion arising thenceforth. The author of that website should elaborate on it.
"Don't draw something out that is not there. When you have to embellish on a word to make it mean what you think it means, most chances are it doesn't mean that. The connection should be clear. Get solid evidence to demonstrate that a word may not mean what many think it to mean."

This is a good one as well. I have seen this in the local islamic book stores.
